Crimping tool

A locator and wire stop device mounted on a hand operated crimping tool for locating and retaining at least one crimpable connector part between two crimping dies of the hand operated crimping tool. The locator and wire stop device includes a positioning mechanism for cooperation with a connector comprising the crimpable connector part, an axially protruding connection part, and an intermediate connector body comprising a transversal protrusion. The positioning mechanism comprises a pivotable connector and wire stop element, a first resilient locator element and a second locator element. The first resilient locator element retains the connection part of the connector. During a crimping operation, the first resilient locator element abuts against an axial end of the transversal protrusion and the pivotable connector and wire stop element axially blocks the other axial end of the transversal protrusion, thereby positioning and retaining the connector in the crimping tool.

A hand operated crimping tool with at least three crimping dies, the crimping surfaces of which together enclose a crimp opening arranged to receive a workpiece to be crimped. The crimping dies have movable pivot points that move when the handles of the tool are moved relative to each other. Each of the crimping dies is arranged between two guide elements on the body of the crimping tool and further has a respective cam surface and a respective stop surface, the respective cam surface being arranged to cooperate with a guide surface on one of the guide elements and the respective stop surface being arranged to cooperate with a guide surface on the other one of the guide elements, thus guiding the movement of the respective crimping die when the pivot points for the crimping dies are moved relative to the body of the crimping tool.

Crimping tool and crimping die

A hand operated crimping tool comprising a body arranged between a distal end and a proximal end of the crimping tool, a tool head arranged distally on the crimping tool, and handles arranged proximally on the crimping tool, where at least one handle is pivotally arranged, and where the relative movement of the tool handles is connected to the relative movement of crimping dies, between which crimping dies at least one workpiece is arranged to be crimped. The tool head comprises a main head part and a pivotable head part, where the movement of the pivotally arranged handle(s) is connected to the movement of the pivotable head part via the body and a mechanism, whereby the pivotable head part of the tool head is movable between an open head position and a closed head position depending on the relative position of the tool handles.

Hand operated crimping tool

A hand operated crimping tool comprising a body arranged between a distal end and a proximal end of the crimping tool, a tool head arranged distally on the crimping tool, and handles arranged proximally on the crimping tool, where at least one handle is arranged pivotally to the body, and where the tool head is arranged axially slidable along the body. A distal crimping die is arranged at the tool head and a proximal crimping die is arranged at the body between which crimping dies a workpiece is to be crimped. The movement of the handles is connected to the movement of the tool head by a mechanism, whereby the tool head is movable between a distal non-crimping position and a proximal crimping position depending on the relative position of the tool handles.

A hand operated crimping tool comprising a body arranged between a distal end and a proximal end of the crimping tool, a tool head arranged distally on the crimping tool, and handles arranged proximally on the crimping tool, which handles are movably arranged in relation to each other, where at least one handle is movably arranged in relation to the body, where two crimping dies between which at least one workpiece is to be crimped form a die pair, and where the relative movement of the tool handles is connected to the relative movement of crimping dies forming at least one die pair. The crimping tool comprises at least three crimping dies, the crimping dies forming at least two die pairs, where the distances between the respective crimping dies in at least two die pairs are further arranged adjustable independently of each other.
