Example embodiments presented herein are directed towards a wireless terminal and base station, and corresponding methods therein, for providing a handover for a subset of bearers associated with the wireless terminal. The subset of bearers is less than a total number of bearers associated with the wireless terminal. Thus, upon the completion of the handover procedure, at least one bearer will stay connected with a source base station.

Methods and apparatus in a fifth-generation wireless communications network, including an example method, in a wireless device, that includes determining a reporting quality threshold for a parameter related to channel state information (CSI); performing a measurement for each of a plurality of beams from a first predetermined set of beams for evaluation; evaluating the measurement for each of the plurality of beams against the reporting quality threshold; discontinuing the performing and evaluating of measurements in response to determining that the reporting quality threshold is met for one of the beams, such that one or more beams in the first predetermined set of beams are not measured and evaluated; and reporting, to the wireless communications network, CSI for the one of the beams.

A method in a user equipment is disclosed. The method comprises generating a narrowband random access preamble for a narrowband random access procedure, the narrowband random access preamble comprising a Zadoff-Chu sequence. The method comprises transmitting, to a network node, the generated narrowband random access preamble via a narrowband physical random access channel (PRACH) according to a narrowband PRACH format, wherein the narrowband PRACH is frequency multiplexed with a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) and comprises: at least one narrowband PRACH slot having a narrowband PRACH slot duration; and a narrowband PRACH period.

NB LTE PRACH design

Systems and methods relating to a narrowband Primary Synchronization Signal (NB-PSS) and a narrowband Secondary Synchronization Signal (NB-SSS) are disclosed. In some embodiments, a base station in a wireless network comprises a processor and storage that stores instructions executable by the processor whereby the base station is operable to transmit a NB-PSS and a NB-SSS in a narrowband portion of a downlink system bandwidth. The NB-PSS and the NB-SSS are transmitted such that more than two occurrences of the NB-PSS and more than two occurrences of the NB-SSS are transmitted over a defined time interval, each occurrence of the NB-PSS is transmitted over multiple contiguous Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols and each occurrence of the NB-SSS is transmitted over multiple contiguous OFDM symbols, and each occurrence of the NB-SSS provides an indication of a location of the occurrence of the NB-SSS within the defined time interval.

The arrangement is arranged to receive at least first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth classical input bits (a, b, c, d, e, f) and arranged to output at least first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth classical output bits. The first, third and fifth classical output bits are arranged to simulate controlled-controlled-NOT, CCNOT, logic based on the first, third and fifth classical input bits (a, c, e). Arrangement, system, method and computer program for simulating a quantum Toffoli gate

The proposed technology generally relates to interworking and integration of different radio access networks, and more specifically to carrier aggregation between different radio access networks such as a cellular radio access network, e.g. a 3GPP network, on one hand and a WLAN network such as Wi-Fi, on the other hand. Such tight interworking/aggregation of radio access networks puts new requirements on efficient handling of authentication and security aspects. The proposed technology provides methods, and corresponding network nodes, computer programs, carriers comprising such computer programs, and computer program products as well as arrangements to support carrier aggregation between different radio access networks.

An example method in a user equipment comprises generating a random access preamble signal and transmitting the random access preamble signal. This generating of the random access preamble signal comprises generating a random access preamble signal comprising two or more consecutive preamble symbol groups, each preamble symbol group comprising a cyclic prefix portion and a plurality of identical symbols occupying a single subcarrier of the random access preamble signal. The single subcarrier for at least one of the preamble symbol groups corresponds to a first subcarrier frequency and the single subcarrier for an immediately subsequent one of the preamble symbol groups corresponds to a second subcarrier frequency.

Embodiments presented in this disclosure relate to methods and apparatuses (such as Access Points (AP's), evolved NodeB's (eNB's), etc.) for use in aggregation, or integration, between a Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) and a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). In one embodiment, an eNB decides that an aggregation between the WWAN and the WLAN is to be performed for at least one bearer of one or more bearers associated with a specific UE. Next, the eNB identifies which one(s) of the at least one bearer of the specific UE that is/are to be aggregated between the WWAN and the WLAN. Also, the eNB schedules each one of the at least one bearer identified to be aggregated between the WWAN and the WLAN.
