This disclosure provides a composition comprising a synergistic mixture of hemp oil extract and palmitoylethanolamide (PEA), and a method for suppressing inflammatory and neuropathic pain by administering the composition to a subject. The anti-inflammatory and antinociceptive properties of the composition may be attributed by the entourage effect on the endocannabinoid system. Increasing the levels of endocannabinoids by inhibiting either their degradation or transport from the extracellular space back into the cells is a potential therapeutic target for managing these diseases.

Hemp and PEA formulation and its use

A composition for treatment of inflammation in a mammal is provided. The mammal has a neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR). The composition includes a curcumagalactomannoside and a hops extract. The curcumagalactomannoside and the hops extract cooperate to decrease the NLR of the mammal 12 weeks after ingestion of the composition. A method of treatment of inflammation in a mammal is also provided. The method includes obtaining a parameter of the mammal. The method further includes dosing the composition based on the parameter. The method further includes administering the composition to the mammal.

Composition of curcumagalactomannoside and hops extract

Disclosed is a prebiotic composition comprising a combination of 2'fucosyllactose (2&#x2032;FL) and isomaltooligosaccharide (IMO). The 2&#x2032;FL and IMO are present in the prebiotic composition in a weight ratio of from 1:1 to 1:10. The prebiotic composition is effective for use in methods of preventing and/or treating a gastrointestinal (GI) condition in an animal, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease(s) (IBD), Crohn's disease, and ulcerative colitis (UC). A foodstuff or beverage, a medical food, a nutritional composition, and a kit presentation, each including the prebiotic composition, and each suitable for use in methods of reducing or suppressing inflammation in an animalian tract, are also disclosed. A method of using the prebiotic composition to prevent and/or treat a GI condition in an animal is further disclosed. The method comprises administering the prebiotic composition to the animal.
