A retaining system includes a receiver comprising: a holder with a first side and an opposite second side and an eccentric aperture extends from the first side to the second side of the holder; a column comprising a central axis, a first axial side, and a second opposite axial side; and a flange attached normal to the column at the second side, wherein the column and flange are engaged with the holder, wherein the flange has an outer shape that fits within the eccentric aperture, and the column passes within the eccentric aperture from the first side to the second side of the holder, wherein the flange and column are rotatable around the central axis, and the column resists rotating without some resilient deformation of either the column, the flange, or the holder. The retaining system may be used to hold straps, such as from goggles, next to the side of a helmet.

Tool-free accessory retaining device for a helmet

A splitboard () having a first ski (L) releasably attachable to a second ski (R) and operable in a snowboard mode and in a ski mode. Corresponding toe brackets () are attached to the first and second skis. A pair of forward slider blocks () and a pair of rear slider blocks () are attached to the first and second skis. Left and right bindings (L,R) include front hook portions () configured to releasably engage the corresponding toe brackets. The bindings are configured to slidably engage the forward and rear slider blocks in snowboard mode. Pull loops () are pivotable between a lock position, wherein a blocking portion () of the pull loop extends through an aperture in the binding to engage the slider block in the lock position. A heel stop () extends down from the binding to limit the forward slide of the binding.

Splitboard binding

A binding comprising a baseplate that is adapted to attach to a gliding board such as a snowboard, the gliding board having lateral and medial sidewalls and a heel loop, and a pivotably highback pivotably mounted to the baseplate. The heel loop includes at least one forwardly disposed tooth, and the highback includes a plurality of rearwardly disposed teeth. The maximum forward lean angle is established by the engagement of the heel loop and highback teeth. In one embodiment the highback adjustably attaches to the baseplate with hardware extending through arcuate slots, such that the maximum forward lean angle is determined by the position of the hardware in the slots.

Blockless highback binding

A ladder strap () is made by joining&#x2014;for example, by co-molding&#x2014;a first, relatively supple material, defining a lower strap portion () with a second, relatively hard material defining an upper strap portion (). The teeth () of the ladder strap are comprises substantially of the harder, second material. In a preferred embodiment, the first and second materials are thermoplastic urethanes, and the co-molding is done using an injection molding process. The co-molding process may be accomplished with co-injection, wherein the two materials are injected at about the same time, or the first material may be injected into a first mold cavity and allowed to partially set, after which the cavity is modified to accommodate the second material.
