A refrigeration appliance with multiple storage compartments has a refrigerant circuit with a first expansion valve, a first heat exchanger, a second expansion valve, and a second heat exchanger connected in series between pressure and suction connections of a compressor. Each heat exchanger is associated with at least one storage compartment in order to control its temperature. A control unit controls the compressor rotational speed and positions of the expansion valves. The control unit has a continuously linear regulator for each storage compartment with a P-component for estimating a required temperature control output using a difference between actual and target temperatures. A model computing unit ascertains a target evaporation temperature for a first storage compartment controlled by the first heat exchanger, and for a second storage compartment controlled by the second heat exchanger. The heat exchangers are operated by selecting the compressor rotational speed and the valve positions of the expansion valves.

A refrigeration appliance has at least a first and a second temperature zone and a refrigerant circuit that includes a compressor, a first evaporator for cooling the first temperature zone and a second evaporator for cooling the second temperature zone. A refrigeration device has a first storage chamber, a second storage chamber and a refrigerant circuit, in which a first controllable throttle point, a first heat exchanger for controlling the temperature of the first storage chamber, a second controllable throttle point and a second heat exchanger for cooling the second storage chamber are connected in series between a pressure connection and a suction connection. A hot line section, located upstream of the second heat exchanger, and a cold line section, located downstream of the second heat exchanger, are routed in thermal contact with respect to one another in order to form an internal heat exchanger. The first heat exchanger is connected to the pressure connection bypassing the hot line section.

A noise sensor detects an intensity of the emitted noise from the electrical device part. The controller is configured to change an operating power of the electrical device part within the normal operating power range and to determine a minimum value of the noise intensity which is detected by the noise sensor and to determine a noise-reduced operating power in order to operate the electrical device part at the noise-reduced operating power.
