A power management module and method for controlling power consumption of consumers in a wind turbine system. Each power management module in the wind turbine system is configured to determine a voltage level of a power supply bus of the wind turbine system and then control a level of power consumption of one or more consumers coupled to the power supply bus based at least in part on the determined voltage level of the power supply bus. Power consumption may thereby be managed throughout the wind turbine system, without requiring a dedicated centralised controller and communications infrastructure.

The present invention relates to operation of a wind turbine using a power storage unit, such as a rechargeable battery, to power a group of power consuming units during grid loss. The wind turbine comprises a number of power consuming units being grouped into at least a first group and a second group, a first electrical converter for connecting the generator to the electrical grid, and a second electrical converter for connecting the electrical generator to the power storage unit. Upon detecting an occurrence of the grid loss, the generator is operated to ensure sufficient power of the power storage unit to operate the first group of power consuming units.

An example method generally includes receiving, from a client device, a subscription request identifying a plurality of data points to collect from a set of wind turbines. A wind farm server establishes a client interface with the client device. The wind farm server receives data points form the plurality of wind turbines and buffers the identified collected data points from the set of wind turbines in a data repository. Through the client interface, the wind farm server receives a request for data points collected from at least one wind turbine over a specified time period, and responsive to the request, transmits the requested data points to the client device. The wind farm server also may push collected data points from wind turbines to a data analysis system.

A wind turbine rotor includes a hub with a rotor blade mounted to a bearing of the hub wherein the rotor blade has a longitudinal axis extending in a radial direction relative to an axis of rotation of the hub, and the rotor blade is rotatable about its longitudinal axis whereby the pitch of the rotor blade is adjustable. Methods of registering events in a wind power system comprising at least two data processors. The data processors of said wind power system are mutually time synchronized. Events are registered in said at least two data processors. The timing of said events registered in different of said at least two data processors is established according to said time synchronization. Events may be registered and preferably analyzed according to a common timing. The event analysis makes it possible to establish an analysis where events of different wind turbines are basically interrelated and where information regarding such interrelation may be important or crucial for establishment of control or fault detection based on correctly timed events from different wind turbines.
