A converter module for converting electrical power by means of a converter circuit having at least one power electronic semiconductor switch driven in a clocked manner is disclosed. The converter module includes a housing, a first DC link circuit terminal, and a capacitance arranged in the housing and connected to the first DC link circuit terminal and to the converter circuit and serving for stabilizing a DC voltage present at the first DC link circuit terminal. The converter module includes a second DC link circuit terminal, which is connected to the capacitance and to the first DC link circuit terminal, wherein the first and second DC link circuit terminals are designed for connection to DC link circuit terminals of further converter modules for converting electrical power. An inverter can be formed by at least two converter modules which are connected to one another via a respective one of their DC link circuit terminals.

Converter module for converting electrical power and inverter for a photovoltaic system having at least two converter modules

A photovoltaic system having an inverter and a photovoltaic generator connected to an inverter input is configured to track an operating voltage of maximum power from the photovoltaic generator. The system also includes an energy store coupled in parallel with the photovoltaic generator, to the input of the inverter. A temporal profile of the power output by the photovoltaic generator is recorded by the converter and compensates for fluctuations in power from the photovoltaic generator in comparison with a target power by adapting the power (P) output by it at the input or branched off from there in such a manner that the sum of the power (P) from the converter and the power (P) from the photovoltaic generator is equal to the target power (P). The converter is operated in a tracking mode that it makes it possible to track the operating voltage of maximum power by means of the inverter. There is a repeated change between the compensation mode and the tracking mode during ongoing operation of the photovoltaic system in which power from the photovoltaic generator is available.

Method for operating a photovoltaic system comprising an energy store and a bidirectional converter for connection of an energy store

An inverter includes a DC/AC converter, a DC intermediate circuit on the direct current input side of the DC/AC converter, multiple DC/DC converters connected in parallel to one another on the output side to the DC intermediate circuit, multiple inputs each coupled to one of the DC/DC converters, and an EMC filter connected between the inputs and the DC/DC converters. The EMC filter includes chokes in all current-carrying lines between the inputs and the DC/DC converters and filter capacitors between the inputs and the DC/DC converters leading from all the current-carrying lines to ground. The chokes in all current-carrying lines from the at least two inputs are formed by means of choke windings on a common core of a current-compensated choke.
