An example system includes an interface module configured to receive a query that is associated with a logic flow within a telecommunications network and to present an output that indicates behavior data that satisfies the query in response to the query. The logic flow traverses a plurality of connection points across the telecommunications network, and the telecommunications network includes a plurality of distributed Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) (e.g., in a Network Function Virtualization, or NFV, architecture). The example system includes a mapping module configured to map one or more distributed VNFs to one or more connection points of the logic flow. The example system includes a data-extraction module configured to retrieve the behavior data of each of the one or more distributed VNFs. The behavior data is related to an execution of the logic flow.

Unified query tool for network function virtualization architecture

A system configures a test case including a test script to validate a new product. The test script has a logic flow for communications through a sequence of network nodes and the test case includes pass/fail criteria for parameter data of packets communicated between the sequence of network nodes. The system initiates an automation engine that is configured to execute the test script and validates the new product based on actual parameter data relative to the pass/fail criteria. The system simulates the enhanced calling or messaging communications service to utilize by the new product during the test. The system instantiates a network probe that captures packets of the network nodes and extracts actual parameter data, which is compared to expected parameter data to generate test results relative to the pass/fail criteria. The system can present an indication that the new product passed/failed the test case based on the test results.

Product validation based on simulated enhanced calling or messaging communications services in telecommunications network

A system instantiates a unified interface for a telecommunications network including a Network Function Virtualization (NFV) architecture of an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) with multiple Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) that each have multiple component VNFs. The system instantiates a tracing tool configured to evaluate performance of the IMS in response to execution of a test case, which includes a test script to test a computing product and where the performance of the IMS is based on packets captured concurrently from VNFs. The test script causes capture and analysis of parameters extracted from packets of the VNFs. In response to completing the test case, the system reports test results indicating the performance of the IMS relative to pass/fail criteria, where the test results are presented through the unified interface.

Unified interface and tracing tool for network function virtualization architecture

A system instantiates a unified query tool for a telecommunications network including a Network Function Virtualization (NFV) architecture. The NFV architecture includes distributed Virtual Network Functions (VNFs), where each VNF has multiple instances of a virtual component function. The system receives a query including key information indicative of a subscriber or a session of the telecommunications network. The query is associated with a logic flow that traverses a first VNF and a second VNF. The system identifies a first virtual component function of the first VNF as a first anchor point for the subscriber or the session. The first anchor point is identified based on the key information. The method retrieves results data that satisfies the query from the first virtual component function. The results data indicates behavior of the first virtual component function relative to the subscriber or the session.

The disclosed technology includes at least one method that enables a user of a wireless mobile device to remotely administer test cases that check the performance of telecommunications network nodes. The method includes authenticating a user for a limited time period in which the user can remotely administer the test cases. While being temporarily authenticated, the user can configure the test cases by associating services or operations with particular nodes. The executed test cases cause the nodes to generate data that indicate performance of the nodes in response to the services or operations. The results can be displayed at the mobile device used to remotely administer the test cases.
