The present disclosure relates to a multifunctional film for a vacuum bag that may include a flexible barrier film that may include a textured surface. The multifunctional film may further include a release coating overlying the textured surface of the flexible barrier film. The multifunctional film may further have an oxygen (O) permeability of not greater than about 1100 cc/(m2-day-atm) and a stability rating of not greater than about 90%, where the stability rating is defined as the maximum percent decrease in elongation at break as measured using ASTM D882 after being exposed to a temperature of 200° C. for 12 hours.

Multifunctional film

According to one aspect, a composite film may include a substrate, and a protection coating overlying the substrate. The protection coating may include a urethane acrylate 6-functional oligomer, and a urethane acrylate 2-functional oligomer. The protection coating may further include a urethane acrylate oligomer ratio UAC/UACof at least about 0.5 and not greater than about 3, where UACis equal to the content of the urethane acrylate 6-functional oligomer in wt. % for a total weight of the protection coating and UACis equal to the content of the urethane acrylate 2-functional oligomer in wt. % for a total dry weight of the protection coating.

Composite film and methods of forming a composite film

The present disclosure relates generally to building surface joint supports, for example, suitable for covering a seam between two building surface panels. In certain aspects, the disclosure provides joint supports that include an elongate layered structure having inside and outside surfaces, the elongate layered structure including a support strip that includes first and second elongate flanges. In certain embodiments, the elongate layered structure also includes an inner facing sheet disposed on the inside surface of the support strip; and an outer facing sheet disposed on the outside surface of the support strip, wherein the each of the inner facing sheet and the outer facing sheet is formed from a fibrous polymer material. In other embodiments, each flange of the first and second elongate flanges includes apertures therethrough, each aperture having a width that extends laterally across at least 50% of the width of the respective flange; and the elongate layer structure also includes an outer facing sheet disposed on the outside surface of the support strip.

Corner structures

A weather resistive barrier (WRB) for the exterior protection of building substrates can have a water vapor permeability that decreases with increasing temperature. In an embodiment, the WRB includes a coating comprising a LCST polymer, and may further include a second polymer. The WRB can be part of a building assembly, part of a sheet, or a sheet itself, the sheet having an air permeability of less than 0.02 L/(s m) at a pressure of 75 Pa. Furthermore a liquid coating composition can include a LCST polymer and a second polymer, wherein the liquid coating composition can be adapted that a solid coating formed by the liquid coating composition has an air permeability of less than 0.02 L/(s m) at a pressure of 75 Pa and a water vapor permeability that decreases with increasing temperature.

A building assembly can include a substrate and a water barrier coating film. The water barrier coating film can include a thermoplastic polymer and microporous particles, such as microporous glass beads. The water barrier coating film can provide a good protection towards liquid water but may allow water vapor flow from the substrate through the coating film. The water vapor permeability of the water barrier coating film can be at least 2 US perms as tested according to ASTM E96 (2014) at 21&#xb0; C. and 50% average relative humidity.
