The present description relates to an injectable emulsion comprising an amphiphilic compound, a first phase comprising droplets including at least one perfluorocarbon compound and a second phase, which is aqueous. The droplets have a diameter dof between 0.5 pm and 5.5 pm, and the at least one perfluorocarbon compound has a boiling point above 100° C. The present description also relates to methods comprising administering such an injectable emulsion in, for example, ultrasound ablation surgery (FIG.).

The present invention relates to novel amphiphilic dendrimers, hereafter denoted Dendri-TAC. The present invention also relates to perfluorocarbon nanoemulsions stabilized by these amphiphilic dendrimers and their uses for in vivo diagnostic and/or for therapy, notably as theranostic tools, for detection and/or treatment of cancer.
