The invention relates to a pusher device () that includes a rotary bearing () having an inner periphery () that is off-center relative to the outer periphery (). In order to compensate for wear, the bearing () is rotationally urged in one direction (F) by a spring () and is thus pressed against the back () of a rack () that is then pushed back against the teeth of the steering sprocket ().
