A system for assisting in the landing of an aircraft including a processing unit configured to: during a first phase of a landing runway approach procedure, when the aircraft flies above a predetermined height with respect to a landing runway threshold, determine a bias of position and speed information from an inertia unit of the aircraft, as a function of the merged position and speed information determined as a function of information from a receiver of ILS guidance signals and of information from a signal receiver of a satellite navigation system, then, during a second phase of the approach procedure, when the aircraft flies below the predetermined height, determine so-called adjusted aircraft position and speed information by applying, to information from the inertial unit, a correction corresponding to the bias determined during the first phase of the approach procedure.

System and method for assisting in the landing of an aircraft

The system for aiding the landing of an aircraft on a landing runway of an airport equipped with an Instrument Landing System ('ILS') corresponding to an axis of a predetermined approach, includes: an ILS signals receiver and a processing unit. The processing unit is configured to, when the ILS signals receiver) has not yet captured a Glide signal corresponding to a Glide axis of the approach as a function of items of information relating to the predetermined approach, acquired from a database, determine a protection volume in which there is no risk of the ILS signals receiver detecting a replica of the Glide signal; and when a current position of the aircraft is above the protection volume, inhibit the capture of the Glide signal by the ILS signals receiver and instruct the emission of an alert item of information in the cockpit of the aircraft.

System and method for aiding the landing of an aircraft

A verification method comprising a first step of measuring at least one position parameter of an aircraft and a first set of steps implemented after the flight of at least one aircraft, in an automatic and repetitive manner, comprising computing a geographical height of an aircraft with respect to the runway on the basis of the position parameters of an aircraft, computing an evaluated vertical deviation, between the geographical height and a reference height, and computing a vertical error on the basis of a comparison between the evaluated vertical deviation and the reference vertical deviation.

Method and device for verifying a guidance signal

A method and system for managing data from an aircraft radio-altimeter. The data management system includes a monitoring unit for checking, automatically and repetitively, when the radio-altimeter is outside of its operational range, from data generated by the radio-altimeter for a predetermined duration, whether the trend of the data corresponds to an aircraft approaching the ground, and a data transmission unit configured to automatically transmit the data generated by the radio-altimeter to a user system, only if the monitoring unit considers that the trend of the data corresponds to an aircraft approaching the ground.
