A method for allocating a radio resource in a system comprising a resource scheduler and a set of devices is disclosed. Each device hosts at least one application, each application transmitting messages to at least one receiver on a transmission channel. The resource scheduler first receives, from each application, application parameters representative of application's requirements. Then, it computes, for each application, a metric responsive to at least part of the received application parameters, to an average probability of failure of said application and further to a channel error probability of said transmission channel. The metrics are compared and, responsive to said comparison, it selects the application to allocate the radio resource to. The average probability of failure each application is further updated. Finally, it transmits an instantaneous probability of failure to each application, said instantaneous probability of failure being used by said application to update its application parameters.

The invention relates to a method for optimizing a capacity of a communication channel in a communication system comprising at least a transmitter, a receiver, said communication channel between the transmitter and the receiver, and a channel conditional probability distribution estimator. The transmitter transmits messages conveyed by a signal associated with a transmission probability according to an input signal probability distribution estimated by said estimator. The transmitter takes at least the messages as inputs and outputs the signal to be transmitted on the channel. The channel takes the transmitted signal as an input and outputs a received signal which is processed at the receiver in order to decode the transmitted message. The probability distribution for each possible transmitted signal is estimated from at least output signals received at the receiver, and by using a collapsed Gibbs sampling relying on a Dirichlet process.

The disclosure relates to a method for calculating capabilities of a WB in a communication system within a TSN network. The WB comprises at least a UPF, a BS and a UE. The UPF comprises at least one NW port enabling communication between said BS and a first subnetwork. The UE is wirelessly connected, within the TSN network, to said BS, and comprises a DS port enabling communication with a second subnetwork. The method is performed at the WB and comprises estimating a performance capacity of the wireless connection between the BS and the UE based on information related to an intended network usage for time-sensitive communication at the WB, and calculating the TSN capabilities of the WB corresponding to the estimated performance capacity. Methods and products for processing stream requests are provided. Upon obtaining the stream requests, an initial TSN scheduling is computed at a CNC based on an initial TSN capability obtained from a dynamic bridge (DB). Then, a loop is started. At each iteration, it is determined, based on information related at least to the last computed TSN scheduling, whether or not to provide information related to an updated TSN capability of the DB to the CNC. If it is decided to provide said information, the CNC computes, based on said information, an updated TSN scheduling. Else, the loop is exited. It is determined, based on at least one computed TSN scheduling, whether to configure the TSN according to one of said at least one computed TSN scheduling or to request an adjustment of at least one stream request.

A method for transmitting binary data using a M-ASK constellation divided into M/2 sets of two symbols is disclosed. Each set of index i comprises the iand i+M/2 symbols of the constellation and is associated with a probability pi of transmitting the first symbol of the set. First, m−1 bits are obtained from an equiprobable binary source where m=logM. A binary source is then selected in a plurality of binary sources responsive to said m−1 bits, each binary source of index i being associated with a probability of outputting a bit zero equal to pi. A symbol of the M-ASK constellation is obtained that is associated with the binary word formed by the m−1 bits as less significant bits and a bit obtained from the selected source as most significant bit. The symbol is finally transmitted to a receiver over a communication channel.
