The present invention relates to the use of octenyl succinate starch, in particular sodium octenyl succinate starch as a binder in wet granulation, in particular for pharmaceutical solid dosage form and the granule obtainable by the method thereof.

Use of octenyl-succinate starches as a binder in wet granulation

A crystallization method that comprises a step of providing a polyester comprising at least one 1,4:3,6-dianhydrohexitol unit, and a step of crystallizing this semi-crystalline polyester at a pressure of at least 600 mbar absolute. The method according to the invention makes it possible to strongly limit, or even eliminate, the phenomenon of polyester expansion during crystallization. Advantageously, the elimination of the expansion phenomenon through pressure conditions implemented according to the invention thus makes it possible to dispense with obtaining very fragile empty spheres that break when agitated and thus cause the formation of undesirable fine particles.

Method for crystallizing a polyester comprising at least one 1,4:3,6-dianhydrohexitol unit

The invention relates to a composition comprising: at least one aliphatic polyester (A) comprising diols containing at least ethylene glycol, 1,4-butanediol or mixtures thereof and diacids containing at least succinic acid, adipic acid or mixtures thereof; at least one starch (B); at least one organic plasticiser (C) for starch; optionally, an additional polyester or a mixture of additional polyesters (D) different from polyester (A). The composition is characterised in that it also comprises citric acid (E), the amount by weight of citric acid varying between 0.01 and 0.45 parts per 100 parts of the total dry weight of (A), (B), (C) and (D).

One subject of the present invention is the use of a combination of a polyol (i) consisting of 12 carbon atoms and of a polyol (ii) consisting of 4 to 6 carbon atoms, as protein stabilizer. Another subject of the present invention is protein compositions comprising such a combination. A final subject of the present invention is a process for preparing protein compositions using such a combination.
