An implant (in particular a stent) includes a main structure and a sensor assembly for measuring a body parameter. The sensor assembly includes at least one electrical conductor and at least one capacitor which are connected in such a way that the conductor and the capacitor form at least one electrical resonant circuit. The electrical conductor is surrounded by an electrical insulation. The electrical conductor is in the form of a coil having at least one turn. The capacitor is in contact at least on one side with the surrounding environment and its capacitance changes depending on the body parameter that is to be determined.

Heart valve prosthesis

A device for closing the left atrial appendage. The device has a flexible and elongate pulling element fixed to a flexible material layer connected fixed to a self-expanding stent. The closure implant can be drawn back into the lumen of a catheter by the pulling element, and in so doing the stent framework can be transferred into a compressed state. The device enables a monitored and controllable release of the closure implant.

An apparatus for collapsing an expandable stent can include a plurality of movable members braided together to form a tubular member or main body portion. The movable members can at least partially define a lumen in the main body portion. The main body portion can be adapted to circumferentially apply an inward force as the diameter of the main body portion is reduced. The diameter of the main body portion can be reduced by moving opposing ends of the main body portion away from each other. An expanded expandable stent can be collapsed by positioning the stent inside the lumen of the main body portion and pulling opposing ends of the main body portion apart. An intermediate layer can be provided between the stent and the main body portion to reduce shear stresses and point forces on the stent.
