A dust reduction device for a vehicle includes an inlet aperture for receiving airflow created as a result of forward movement of the vehicle. The dust reduction device provides a primary airflow path leading from the inlet aperture to a vehicle opening, and a secondary airflow path leading from the inlet aperture to a ventilation exit. During forward movement of the vehicle, the primary airflow path is substantially blocked by airflow from the secondary airflow path such that airflow from the primary airflow path is provided to the vehicle opening and into the vehicle thereby minimising dust ingress in the vehicle.

The invention relates to a safety device having an airbag module which has a housing () and which can be mounted in the steering wheel of a motor vehicle, having a cover () fastened to the housing () in a movable manner, on which a first horn contact () is arranged; at least a second horn contact () is arranged on the housing (), which, in the initial position, is electrically isolated from the first horn contact (), and in the activation position, comes into electrical contact with the first horn contact () in order to trigger a horn signal. The second horn contact () being configured as a separate component which is fixed to the housing () by at least one separate locking element ().

Horn contact arrangement in cooperation with an airbag module

An airbag module has a case-like housing and an open side covered by a protective covering. The protective covering (), having a pre-set tear line, is fastened at its one end () in the interior of the housing (). With its other, free end (), the protective covering overlaps the open side () of the housing () and is secured on a flange () outwardly protruding from the housing wall () and mounted on the housing (). The flange () has at least one opening (), immediately adjoining the transition between housing wall () and flange (), for guiding a tongue () formed on the free end () of the protective covering (). A holding nose () projecting from the housing wall () into the opening () can be brought into engagement into a holding recess () formed in the tongue () of the protective covering ().

A safety arrangement in the form of an air-bag module () to be mounted to the steering wheel of a motor vehicle. The air-bag module () comprises a housing () and a cover (). The cover () is moveably mounted to the housing (). A wire () is clipped to the cover () and the wire () is configured to engage contact members () provided on the housing () when the cover () is moved relative to the housing (). The wire () and the contacts () together act as a switch arrangement which may be connected to an electrical circuit in the vehicle which controls the vehicle's horn.
