A system for insulating a structural element in a motor vehicle, including a structural element and a device arranged thereon and having a carrier. The system also includes an expandable adhesive, which is arranged on the structural element or on the carrier via pumping or via extrusion. The carrier and the expandable adhesive are designed and arranged in such a way that the carrier limits the expandable adhesive in at least one direction during the expansion of same.

An insulating element for insulating a structural element in a vehicle including a base element, an additional element and a fixing element. The base element has a first coupling element and expandable material. The additional element has a second coupling element and expandable material. The base element and the additional element are connected to one another by the coupling elements.

Insulating element

A reinforcing device for reinforcing a structural element in a motor vehicle includes a support, a reinforcing element and an adhesive. The support has a first surface for orientation towards a first wall of the structural element and a second surface for orientation towards a second wall of the structural element. The reinforcing element is designed for arrangement between the support and the first wall of the structural element. The adhesive is designed to connect the support to the reinforcing element and to connect the support and the reinforcing element to the structural element.

Reinforcing device for reinforcing a structural element in a motor vehicle

An insulation element for insulating a structural element in a vehicle includes a support element having a first surface and a second surface and an expandable material, which is arranged at least on partial areas of the first surface of the support element. The support element has at least one penetration and the expandable material projects through the penetration and forms a protrusion on one side of the second surface of the support element. The protrusion is dimensioned and the expandable material designed in such a way that the protrusion has a larger cross section after expansion than a cross section of the penetration.

Insulation element

The invention relates to an insulation element, in particular for the acoustic insulation of an opening and/or of a cavity in a vehicle or building, having a carrier element and an expendable material. The carrier element has a plurality of through-holes, wherein only one surface of the carrier element is covered at least partially with expandable material, and the expandable material at least partially fills the through-holes. The invention relates furthermore to an insulation element produced therefrom, the use of the same and a method for the acoustic insulation and/or reinforcement of an opening or a cavity in a land, air or water vehicle or in a building.

Insulation element, expanded insulation element, use of same and method for insulation

A reinforcement includes a material layer disposed on a carrier that includes integrally formed support features, such as ribs, holes, pins, or a combination thereof, and/or a connector pin that deforms to secure the material layer to the carrier. The support features reduce the weak interface between the material layer and the carrier by improving bonding of the material layer to the carrier.

Interconnected foam or adhesive layers

In the case of an element for sealing or reinforcing a cavity of a structural element, in particular of a vehicle, the element comprises a base element a foamable part, and an opening for receiving a penetrating element. A wing is arranged on the base element, the opening is open at the side and an actuator which moves the wing when the penetrating element is introduced is arranged on the wing.
