An ultrasonic wave transceiving device is provided. The device includes a transmitter for transmitting at least one kind of first detection data ultrasonic signal and a plurality of kinds of second detection data ultrasonic signals, a receiver for receiving echo signals of the first and second detection data ultrasonic signals, and first and second information generators for generating first and second information based on the echo signal of the first and second detection data ultrasonic signals, respectively. The transmitter transmits the first and second detection data ultrasonic signals which transmission period of the first detection data ultrasonic signal intervenes between transmission periods of the second detection data ultrasonic signals in time axis. The second information generator generates the second information by using the echo signals of the second detection data ultrasonic signals.

Device and method for transceiving ultrasonic wave

This disclosure provides an underwater detection device, which includes a first generator for generating a first transmission signal, a second generator for generating a second transmission signal having a longer pulse width than that of the first transmission signal, an output unit for outputting the transmission signals generated by the first and second generators to a transducer for transmitting underwater ultrasonic waves based on the first and second transmission signals, respectively, receiving the reflection waves caused by the ultrasonic waves, respectively, and converting the reflection waves into a first reception signal and a second reception signal, respectively, an underwater detector for detecting at least one of a presence of a target object and a water bottom depth based on the first reception signal, and a bottom sediment discriminator for discriminating a water bottom sediment type based on the second reception signal.

Underwater detection device and underwater detecting method

A device and method for determining bottom sediment is provided. The method includes transmitting a pulse of a pulse width corresponding to a water-bottom depth, extracting a series of amplitude data of water-bottom echo signals from predetermined signals among the water-bottom echo signals received by the transducer at a predetermined time interval, normalizing the extracted series of amplitude data after TVG-processed, calculating two or more feature quantities based on the normalized series of amplitude data in each of segments of the normalized series of amplitude data, and a value corresponding to the water-bottom depth, and generating bottom-sediment classification information indicating the bottom sediment based on the two or more feature quantities.
