A packer assembly for an annular blowout preventer (BOP) includes an elastomeric sealing packer and multiple inserts that support the elastomeric sealing packer. Each insert of the multiple inserts includes an upper member and an intermediate member that are rotatably coupled to one another. For example, the upper member and the intermediate member are rotatably coupled to one another via a pin.

A pressure control system includes a housing having a bore and a first pair of opposed rams positioned within the housing. The first pair of opposed rams is configured to move between a retracted position and an extended position relative to the bore. The pressure control system further includes a rotating control device (RCD) seal assembly, which includes a frame that is configured to couple to the first pair of opposed rams while the first pair of opposed rams are in the extended position relative to the bore, an annular seal element coupled to the frame, and a bearing assembly positioned between the annular seal element and the frame. The annular seal element is configured to seal about a tubular within the bore, and the bearing assembly is configured to enable the annular seal element to rotate relative to the frame and the first pair of opposed rams.

A system includes a top drive system; a drilling riser running tool configured to be deployed by the top drive system; a fluid line configured to run from the top drive system to the drilling riser running tool; and a liquid filing system. The drilling riser running tool includes a tool head module configured to engage and hold a first riser joint at a top end such that with the top drive system above the drilling riser running tool, the first riser joint can be lowered towards a second riser joint being held near a drill floor. The first riser joint includes a central tube and a first auxiliary line. The liquid filling system is configured to provide liquid filling of the first auxiliary line via the fluid line after connection of the first and second riser joints and while the first and second riser joints are being run.

A drilling riser cable management system includes a plurality of clamping mechanisms pre-installed on riser joints and a robotic arm. The robotic arm has a cable handling mechanism that is configured to securely install the cable on each clamping mechanism without relying on human manipulation of the cable during installation.

An annular elastomeric packer for a blowout preventer includes a plurality of circumferentially spaced inserts, wherein at least one of the plurality of inserts includes an upper flange extending between a radially inner end and a radially outer end, a lower flange extending between a radially inner end and a radially outer end, and a rib extending between the upper flange and the lower flange, wherein the upper flange includes an upper surface disposed at an acute angle relative a longitudinal axis of the elastomeric packer, and an elastomeric body coupled to the plurality of inserts and including an inner sealing surface.

Wireline valves with internal tool trap flappers are provided. In one embodiment, a wireline valve includes a main body with a bore sized to allow a downhole tool to pass through the main body of the wireline valve and a flapper positioned within the main body. The flapper is positioned with respect to the bore of the wireline valve such that the flapper can be moved between an open position that permits passage of the downhole tool through the bore of the main body of the wireline valve and a closed position that prevents passage of the downhole tool through the bore of the main body of the wireline valve in at least one direction. The present disclosure generally relates to an annular blowout preventer ('BOP') apparatus for sealing a wellbore. In particular, the annular BOP includes a body comprising a vertical bore extending therethrough, an upper packing element located in the body, a lower packing element located in the body and spaced axially from the upper packing element, and a piston configured to move the upper and lower packing elements radially with respect to the vertical bore. The annular BOP provides for bi-directional sealing across the annular BOP. In other embodiments, the annular BOP may include only a single packing element configured to provide for bi-directional sealing across the annular BOP.
