This patent document relates to the field of biotechnological apparatuses. It relates particularly to a biotechnological apparatus comprising a bioreactor, an exhaust gas temperature control device and a method for treating an exhaust gas stream. This patent document further relates to a connection device for a sterile single-use fluid conduit of a single-use bioreactor and to a method for treating a fluid stream. The reusable connection device comprises a receptacle in which a portion of the fluid conduit can be detachably arranged, and a coupling member connecting the connection device to a temperature control device, the receptacle having a contact surface which is arranged such that the contact surface abuts a fluid conduit arranged in the receptacle, and wherein a portion of a fluid conduit can be introduced into the receptacle in a direction running substantially orthogonally to a longitudinal axis of the connection device.

Biotechnological apparatus comprising a bioreactor, exhaust gas temperature control device for a bioreactor and a method for treating an exhaust gas stream in a biotechnological apparatus

A single-use bioreactor, suitable in particular for use in a parallel bioreactor system for applications in cell culture and/or microbiology, a head plate for such a single-use bioreactor and a process for manufacturing the single-use bioreactor and the head plate. The single-use bioreactor comprises a head plate, a dimensionally stable container and a mixer, the head plate and the container enclosing a reaction chamber, and the mixer having a mixer shaft and a stirring member, said mixer shaft being mounted rotatably about a rotational axis in a bearing and the stirring member being fastened torsionally rigidly to the mixer shaft. The mixer and the bearing are arranged entirely within the reaction chamber and the mixer shaft has a magnetic portion which is arranged and adapted in such a way that it can be coupled magnetically in an axial direction to a rotary drive.

Single-use bioreactor and head plate, and a process for manufacturing same

An electrically conductive pipette tip having an elongated tubular body that has a bottom opening at the bottom end for the passage of liquid, and a top opening at the top end for the passage of air, and a passageway between the bottom opening and the top opening, wherein the body has at least one electrically-conductive region extending from the bottom opening to the top opening, and at least one transparent region consisting of plastic that extends from the passageway to the outside of the body.

A cell culture dish, comprising: a dish with a bottom wall and a circumferential side wall standing upward from the same, a lid, which sits sealingly on the side wall in an aeration position, and means for holding the lid on the dish above the sealing position in an aeration position in which there is an aeration gap between side wall and lid, wherein these means are adapted to be overcome by pressing the lid and the dish together in order to bring the lid from the aeration position into the sealing position.

Cell culture dish

A chamber for treating cells contained in a suspension in an electric field, the chamber having a vessel for holding the suspension and at least two electrodes with electrode surfaces that face each other. The suspension may be placed between the electrode surfaces and the electrodes are connectable to different poles of a source of voltage to generate an electric field between the electrode surfaces. The electrodes are laminate and continuous and are configured to generate a non-uniform field. Moreover, the electrodes have electrode surfaces made of electrically conductive material, wherein the electrode surface of at least one of the two electrodes is shaped such that a non-uniform field with several maxima distributed over the electrode surface may be generated between the two electrodes.
