Panel for an electronics rack

An electronics rack component including at least one slide locking mechanism for removably securing the component to a rack. The slide lock mechanism includes a slide lock with a support configured to slide along a flat flange portion of the rail. A release lever protrudes from the top surface of the support base and provides a structure or surface for a user's finger to slide the support base along the flat flange portion. A locking latch extends downward from the bottom surface of the base and through the slot in the rail. The locking latch includes a portion spaced apart from the bottom surface of the base a distance to accommodate the flat flange portion and a flange on the electronics rack. A spring biases the slide lock toward the end of the component.

Spring mounted slidable lock for rack components

An electronics rack with integrated battery storage compartment for an uninterrupted power supply is disclosed. The battery storage compartment includes a compartment housing attached to the rack and a compartment drawer slidingly mounted within the compartment housing. The compartment drawer includes an uninterrupted power supply (UPS) and one or more batteries for providing battery powered backup for electronics components mounted in the rack. The UPS includes one or more output power lines that connect to one or more outlets for supplying power to components mounted on the rack. The compartment drawer is mounted to the compartment housing through mating slide rails. The compartment drawer includes an access panel with a handle which permits a user to slide the compartment drawer out from the compartment housing.

Electronics rack with integrated batteries for uninterrupted power supply

A universal monitor mount for attaching a monitor post to a surface, the monitor mount including a base cup with an open top, at least one side wall and a closed bottom. The base cup has an interior cavity for receiving the monitor post in use. A bottom of the base cup includes a recess sized and shaped to receive a head of a mounting bolt. At least one desktop mounting component is provided that has a plurality of attachment holes arranged to align with and attach to holes in the base cup for securing the desktop mounting component to the base cup. At least one restraining surface is formed on the base cup or on the mounting component to prevent the mounting bolt from rotating when the bolt is inserted in the recess and the desktop mounting component is attached to the base cup.

Universal base mounting system for desk mounted monitor mounts

An electronics rack for storing electronic components, the rack including a base frame, a top frame, and at least four vertical posts, each end of each vertical post attaching to the top frame and base frame and providing structural support for the rack. At least one of the vertical posts includes a post frame having two side walls and a back wall that are attached to one another to form a channel with an open front and an interior. At least one access panel is removably attached to the post frame so as to close off at least a portion of the open front of the channel, the access panel providing access to the interior of the channel. At least one of either a data connector assembly, an electrical outlet assembly, or a circuit breaker assembly is removably attached to the post frame.

Electronics rack post with integrated power and data supply

A light assembly with a light fixture and a rotatable mounting assembly. The mounting assembly includes a base that has a mounting flange with a cradle attached thereto that has an inner race with a curved surface and a plurality of teeth projecting radially inward. A stanchion is mounted adjacent to the cradle and has an axle extending laterally outward therefrom over the cradle. The axle has a center axis that is coaxial with a radial axis of the inner race. A light mount rotatably mounted to the base. The light mount includes a fixture bracket that is attached to the light fixture. The light mount includes a mount frame with an outer race that has a curved surface, and a hub mounted to the axle with an axis that is coaxial with a radial axis of the outer race and the axle axis.

Rotable light assembly for an electronics rack

An electronics rack with an electrically controlled access panel, including an enclosure including a base, side walls and a top, with at least one opening in a sidewall or the top for accessing the interior of the enclosure. At least one panel is mounted to the enclosure for permitting controlled access to the interior. At least two electronically controlled hinges are mounted to opposite sides of the panel. Each hinge has a hinge axis about which the panel can rotate when the panel is unlocked, the hinge axes of the two hinges being parallel to one another. Each hinge includes a hinge pin that is slidable in a housing between a retracted position and an extended position. Each hinge includes an electronically controlled drive mechanism for controlling reciprocation of the hinge pin.

Multi-way opening panel for an electronics rack with electronically controlled hinge

A multi-piece shelf for an electronics rack, the electronics rack having a base and at least two vertical posts. The multi-piece shelf includes at least two side brackets and a removable shelf, the side brackets being separate components from the shelf. Each side bracket includes a vertical wall and a shelf mounting flange that is integral to and extends laterally from the vertical wall. A post mounting flange is integrally attached to at least a portion of the vertical wall for attaching to a vertical post. The removable shelf includes a flat bottom portion with at least two shovel lances formed on and extending downward and rearward from a lower surface of the bottom portion. Each shovel lance having a locking section that is spaced apart from the bottom portion and configured to it into an aperture in the shelf mounting flange.

Multi-piece rack shelf

An end unit has an end wall and first and second side walls forming a corner. One end of an L-shaped rail with first and second flanges seats in the corner against the end wall, with the flanges flat against the side walls. One side wall has a protrusion abutting the first flange to restrict movement of the rail away from the other side wall. The first side wall has a tab in a slot in the first flange, engaging the flange on a side of the slot away from the end wall, preventing movement of the rail away from the first side wall, while permitting movement of the rail away from the end wall to a position where the tab aligns with the slot to permit movement of the rail away from the first side wall. A pin in aligned holes prevents the movement away from the end wall.

Rack frame assembly

A rack assembly includes a base frame having a base member, a lateral brace along a first edge of the base member, and a vertical stub extending upward from a corner of the base member, the vertical stub including first and second stub walls oriented substantially perpendicularly to each other; a side frame including a generally U-shaped vertical bracket; and a generally U-shaped gusset having an upper portion and a lower portion in which the one gusset wall is substantially parallel to and offset with respect to the upper portion. The upper portion of the gusset is attached to the vertical bracket so as to form a first gap between the one gusset wall and a corresponding vertical bracket wall, and a second gap is formed between another bracket wall and the lower portion of the corresponding gusset wall, the gaps being adapted to receive the vertical stub walls.

Rack assembly

A locking lever for a removable rack rail includes a base plate, a body plate mounted to the base plate so as to be pivotable about a pivot point between a first position and a second position with respect to the base plate, a tang extending in a lateral direction from the body plate, and a finger tab extending from the body plate for actuating the body plate to pivot about the pivot point with respect to the base plate, wherein when the body plate is in the second position the tang is at least partially recessed so that an end portion of the locking lever can fit in a slot on a mounting rail, and wherein when the body plate is in the first position the tang extends laterally beyond the lateral edge of the base plate so that the end portion cannot be removed from the slot.

Rack rail locking lever

An embodiment of an enclosure for electrical equipment is described. The enclosure has a back part arranged to be mounted to a fixed support and having an open front, and a front part having an open back, arranged to contain electrical equipment, and hinged to the back part. A latch is mounted within one of the back and front parts, and is arranged to latch the front part and the back part closed. A key-operated control on the front of said front part permits a user to release the latch only by use of a key.
