A burner includes a main body having an outer surface and at least partially defining an interior. The main body further includes an upstream end axially spaced from a downstream end. The outer surface includes a burner front face at the downstream end of the main body. An annular cooling air plenum is defined in the main body radially inwardly from the outer surface. A cooling air passage extends from the outer surface to the annular cooling air plenum. A plurality of cooling channels is circumferentially spaced apart from one another along the burner front face. Each cooling channel of the plurality of cooling channels extends from a respective inlet in fluid communication with the annular cooling air plenum to a respective outlet.

Burner cooling structures

A pilot burner for a combustor includes an inner conduit configured to deliver a fuel, and an outer conduit concentric with the inner conduit and configured to deliver air. An inner wall defines an inner plenum, and a partition wall is radially outward of the inner wall and defines an intermediate plenum with at least a portion of the inner wall. Exit passages fluidly couple the inner plenum to the intermediate plenum. An outer wall defines an outer plenum with at least a portion of the partition wall. A crossover section includes passages fluidly coupling the inner conduit to the outer plenum, and passages fluidly coupling the outer conduit to the inner plenum. An end plate includes openings to direct fuel, air for combustion, and air for cooling from the respective plenums.

Pilot burner for combustor

A lance for a burner includes an innermost conduit defining a first fluid passage and a plurality of first fuel injection channels, each first fuel injection channel terminating at a first outlet; an intermediate conduit circumferentially surrounding the innermost conduit, the intermediate conduit defining a second fluid passage and a plurality of second fuel injection channels, each second fuel injection channel terminating at a second outlet; an outermost conduit circumferentially surrounding the intermediate conduit, the outermost conduit defining a third fluid passage, a plurality of third air outlets through the outermost conduit and surrounding the first outlets, a plurality of fourth air outlets through the outermost conduit and surrounding the second outlets, and a plurality of cooling microchannels; wherein each cooling microchannel includes and extends between a microchannel inlet in fluid communication with the third fluid passage and a microchannel outlet on an outer surface of the outermost conduit.

Dual fuel lance with cooling microchannels

A fuel injector device includes a body having a leading edge and a trailing edge and defining a streamwise direction from the leading edge to the trailing edge. The fuel injector device body includes a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, each surface extending between and including the leading edge and the trailing edge, and the surfaces conjoining each other at the leading edge and the trailing edge. The trailing edge, when seen in the streamwise direction, undulates along a trailing edge mean line and, along its extent, deviates in opposite directions from the mean line and includes at least one inflection point along its extent.

Fuel injector device

Disclosed is a fuel injector device having a body with a leading edge and a trailing edge and defining a streamwise direction from the leading edge to the trailing edge, the fuel injector device body having a first wall and a second wall opposite the first wall, each wall extending between and including the leading edge and the trailing edge and the walls conjoining each other at the leading edge and the trailing edge, each wall having a streamwise extent and a crosswise extent, the walls further enclosing an internal space, at least one fluid plenum being provided within the internal space, the fluid plenum at least at one of an upstream end and/or a downstream end being delimited by an internal wall structure, wherein at least one surface of the wall structure is an inclined surface which forms an angle with the streamwise direction which is smaller than or equal to a maximum angle, wherein the maximum angle is 60&#xb0;.
