A method, performed in a User Equipment (UE), is disclosed. The method is for facilitating the establishing of a UE processing configuration for the selective enhancement of radio signals received or transmitted by the UE. The method comprises receiving from a Transmission Point (TP) of a wireless network an indication that an identified reference signal is usable by the UE for establishing a UE processing configuration, and receiving the identified reference signal from a Transmission Point of the wireless network.

Methods and apparatus relating to selective enhancement of radio signals

A user equipment () is provided for use in a cellular network. The user equipment includes a transceiver (), a processor (), and a memory (). The user equipment () is configured to determine, for a data transmission, a mapping form a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) to a PNT-RS. A DMRS resulting signal is generated from a subset of DMRS for a first resource element in a subcarrier. The DMRS resulting signal is copied from the first resource element to a second resource element assigned to the PNT-RS in the subcarrier. The data transmission is transmitted using the DMRS resulting signal and the PNT-RS.

Systems and methods for phase noise tracking reference signal sequence generation using demodulation reference signals

Methods and apparatus in a fifth-generation wireless communications network, including an example method, in a wireless device, that includes determining a reporting quality threshold for a parameter related to channel state information (CSI); performing a measurement for each of a plurality of beams from a first predetermined set of beams for evaluation; evaluating the measurement for each of the plurality of beams against the reporting quality threshold; discontinuing the performing and evaluating of measurements in response to determining that the reporting quality threshold is met for one of the beams, such that one or more beams in the first predetermined set of beams are not measured and evaluated; and reporting, to the wireless communications network, CSI for the one of the beams.

Network architecture, methods, and devices for a wireless communications network

Embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a radio network node for handling transmission of data from a wireless device in a wireless communication network. The radio network node determines a delay value for a transmission of data from the wireless device based on a transmission type of data from the wireless device or a capability of the wireless device. The capability is related to a processing time for processing received data from the radio network node, or for processing data for transmission to the radio network node. The radio network node further transmits an indication, to the wireless device, which indication indicates the determined delay value.

Delaying transmission depending on transmission type and UE processing capabilities

A method for accelerating bit error correction in a receiver in a radio communication network, wherein the receiver is configured to update soft bit values associated with each code bit of a block code based on parallel parity checks. The method includes receiving a block code encoded message, and for any group of two or more rows of a parity-check matrix of the block code: when the two or more rows are non-overlapping: combining the two or more rows in a row group for parallel updating, updating, in parallel, the parity checks of the row group for the received message, and forming a message estimate based on the updated parity checks. Accelerating bit error correction in a receiver

Embodiments herein relate to method performed by a radio-network node for handling a data transmission, from a wireless device to the radio-network node, in a wireless communication network. The radio-network node schedules one or more resources for carrying an uplink data transmission from the wireless device over a channel, and for carrying a feedback transmission, of a downlink data transmission from the radio-network node, over the same channel. The radio-network node transmits a control message to the wireless device, which control message indicates the one or more resources scheduled for carrying the uplink data transmission and the feedback transmission over the same channel.

Radio-network node, wireless device and methods performed therein

A system and method of Random-Access Response, RAR, messaging when a base station employs narrow beamforming. Multiple RAR messages are successively transmitted from the base station to a User Equipment, UE, before any response to a RAR message is received from the UE. Thus, despite any calibration mismatch between Uplink, UL, and Downlink, DL, beams in the beamformed system, a RAR message is not only received by the UE, but is received over the most-suitable DL beam for that UE. Each RAR message may contain a message-specific scheduling-delay indicator in the UL grant carried in the RAR message to provide an adjustable time delay for the UE's uplink transmission scheduled by the UL grant. Multiple RAR transmissions can schedule a single UL transmission at a specific time instance or different UL transmissions at different time intervals. The UE may report to the base station the best DL RAR transmission detected by the UE.

Random-access response with analog beamforming

A method for verifying data integrity in a receiver in a wireless communication network is disclosed. The method includes receiving a data message, wherein the data message includes a group of data elements and a checksum, computing a complete syndrome vector based on partial syndrome vectors, wherein the partial syndrome vectors are computed, in parallel, by multiplying part of a parity-check matrix with corresponding part of the received data message, determining that all vector elements of the complete syndrome vector are zero, and verifying that the received data message is correct when all the vector elements of the complete syndrome vector are zero, and incorrect otherwise. Corresponding computer program product, apparatus, and receiver are also disclosed.

Verifying data integrity in a receiver

Methods and apparatus in a fifth-generation wireless communications, including an example method, in a wireless device, that includes receiving a downlink signal comprising an uplink access configuration index, using the uplink access configuration index to identify an uplink access configuration from among a predetermined plurality of uplink access configurations, and transmitting to the wireless communications network according to the identified uplink access configuration. The example method further includes, in the same wireless device, receiving, in a first subframe, a first Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) transmission formatted according to a first numerology and receiving, in a second subframe, a second OFDM transmission formatted according to a second numerology, the second numerology differing from the first numerology.
