A coupling or bracket system arranged and configured to couple a headrail or cassette of an architectural-structure covering one or more brackets mounted to a wall is disclosed. In use, the brackets are arranged and configured to receive the headrail in a purely horizontal motion with little to no vertical or rotational motion. Thus arranged, the coupling or bracket system eliminates the need for the headrail to be rotated into position during installation. Thus arranged, the coupling or bracket system eliminates, or at least minimizes, the concerns about the distance or spacing between the brackets and the ceiling.

Example methods and apparatus can be used to reduce noise in motor assemblies, such as those used in architectural coverings. An example apparatus includes a first driver configured to be coupled to and rotated by an output shaft of a motor, a second driver, and a plurality of vibration-absorbers disposed between the first driver and the second driver. The second driver is configured to be coupled to a rotating member to transfer rotational motion from the first driver to the rotating member via the vibration-absorbers.

Methods and apparatus to reduce noise in motor assemblies

An architectural covering including a motor assembly is provided. The covering may include a head rail, an end cap enclosing an end of the head rail, a roller tube rotatably supported within the head rail at least partially by the end cap, and a motor assembly including a housing in splined engagement with the end cap to non-rotatably secure the motor assembly to the end cap. The motor assembly may be received at least partially within the roller tube and may be in driving engagement with the roller tube. A covering material may be attached to the roller tube such that rotation of the roller tube extends or retracts the covering material.

Motor assembly for an architectural covering

A covering for an architectural covering is provided. The covering may include a rotatable outer roller, a rotatable inner roller, a first shade secured to the outer roller, and a second shade secured to the inner roller. The outer roller may define an elongated slot extending along a length of the outer roller and opening to an interior of the outer roller. The inner roller may be received within the outer roller and may define a central longitudinal axis. The first shade may be retractable onto and extendable from the outer roller. The second shade may extend through the elongated slot and may be retractable onto and extendable from the inner roller. The elongated slot may be substantially horizontally aligned with the central longitudinal axis of the inner roller when the first shade is in a fully extended position.

A covering for an architectural covering is provided. The covering may include a multiple stage spring assembly. The spring assembly may include a non-rotatable first member, a first spring including a first end portion and a second end portion, and a second spring including a first end portion and a second end portion. The first end portion of the first spring may be coupled to the first member. The first end portion of the second spring may be coupled to the second end portion of the first spring to rotate with the second end portion of the first spring.

A weighted rail is provided that skews and/or counterbalances an associated shade member to counteract an asymmetric force applied to the rail by the shade member. The rail may include an independent weight that is at least partially positioned rearwardly of a longitudinal axis of the rail, thereby counterbalancing a force applied to the rail by the shade member that tends to rotate the rail about its longitudinal axis. Additionally, or alternatively, the weight may be movable along a length of the rail to counterbalance a force applied to the rail by the shade member that tends to rotate the rail about an axis that is orthogonal to its longitudinal axis and to the plane of the shade member. The rail is attachable to a variety of shade members including, but not limited to, shade members having multiple panels attached to each other with a plurality of vanes.
