A wear component for a ground engaging tool includes a mounting portion having a first surface, a second surface, and a thickness between the first surface and the second surface. The mounting portion is connectable to a mounting assembly of the ground engaging tool. The wear component also includes at least one wear portion connected to the mounting portion and forming at least one ground engaging edge. The at least one wear portion has at least one first surface including at least one groove extending from the at least one ground engaging edge toward the mounting portion, at least one second surface, and at least one thickness between the at least one first surface and the at least one second surface. A maximum of the at least one thickness of the at least one wear portion is larger than a maximum of the thickness of the mounting portion.

Wear component for ground engaging tool

An implement end cutting-bit with a body having front, rear, top, bottom, inner side and outer side portions. The body has a cutting edge along a bottom interface between the front and bottom portions. The body has a flat front surface on the front portion extending between a top edge along a top interface between the front and top portions, an outer side edge along an outer side interface between the front and outer side portions, a ridge on the front portion, and a spearhead edge along the bottom interface between the outer side portion and the cutting edge. The body has a contoured front surface on the front portion of the body adjacent the flat front surface. The contoured front surface can be defined between an inner side edge, which is along an inner side interface between the front and inner side portions, the cutting edge, and the ridge.

Implement end cutting-bit

A wear member for an earth-working implement includes a body having front, rear, top, bottom, inner side and outer side portions. A cutting edge is defined along at least a portion of a bottom interface. The wear member includes a contoured upper front surface, which extends between a top edge along a top interface between the front portion and the top portion, an outer side edge along an outer side interface between the front portion and the outer side portion, a ridge on the front portion, and a spearhead edge along the bottom interface. The wear member includes a contoured lower front surface formed on the front portion of the body adjacent the contoured upper front surface, which is between an inner side edge, which is disposed along an inner side interface between the front portion and the inner side portion, the cutting edge, and the ridge.

High performance implement wear member

In order to avoid cavitation in a boom cylinder head end at the beginning of a dig cycle, fluid from an alternate source is supplied to the head end before or in addition to fluid supplied by the main boom-up hydraulic circuit. In one embodiment, an electronic hydraulic valve, related sensors, and control system determines the beginning of a dig operation and uses fluid at an intermediate pressure to rapidly provide fluid to a boom head end cylinder to prevent voiding or cavitation before fluid under high pressure from the main pump can be brought to the cylinder. An on/off fluid switch is activated early in a dig operation to address low pressure at the boom cylinder head end and provide an alternate path for fluid into the cylinder in reaction to the boom being lifted by a motion of the stick and bucket in contact with the work surface.

Reducing dig force in hydraulic implements

A cutter for a dozing blade includes a middle, first, and second section, each defining a plurality of bolting holes for receiving bolts to mount the cutter in a service configuration upon a dozing blade. The first and second sections each define a greater face angle between digging and mounting faces which is about 20&#xb0; or less, and the middle section defines a lesser face angle between digging and mounting faces. The cutter may be provided in a service package for installation in place of a used cutter in a dozing blade.

A dozing blade assembly includes a dozing blade, and a cutter mounted to the dozing blade. The cutter includes a compound digging face extending between a proximal edge and a distal edge. The compound digging face has a steeply oriented center segment, and shallowly oriented outer segments, for balancing downward penetration with forward pushability during moving the dozing blade assembly through material of a substrate. Purpose-built mounting surfaces on the blade can be used to provide for the different orientations, using flat plates to form the cutter.
