The invention relates to a belt () as a continuous traction means, in particular for conveyor belts of agricultural machines, in particular baling presses, comprising at least one fabric layer () embedded, at least in certain regions, in a polymer layer (), in particular rubber layer, whereby end regions () of the belt () lie flat on top of one another in an overlap region () and are connected to each other for creating a continuous belt () reinforced by the fabric layer (). According to the invention, it is provided that the end regions () of the belt () are connected to each other by at least one thread () forming a seam (), whereby, to that end, said at least one thread () penetrates the end regions () of the belt () in a seam region () in several stitches (), whereby the fabric layer () of the belt () is embedded in the polymer layer () at least across said seam region (), and the thread () is embedded in transition regions () between the stitches () into the polymer layer () in such a manner shallowly at a depth of penetration (T) that the thread () runs below surfaces () of the belt ().

Belt as endless traction means and method for producing such a belt

Cam belt, particularly for agricultural machinery, produced from a polymer provided with reinforcement inserts, has cams on the inner side of the cam belt that are used to drive cam belt. A first flank faces in the running direction of cam belt and a second flank faces in opposite direction. Cams are spaced apart from one another by gaps in a predefined division, and gaps are delimited by first flank and second flank of two adjoining cams and a base which connects two flanks. During operation of cam belt carrier of a cam wheel resting against second flank of one of adjoining cams and against the base of a gap engage with the gaps. On outer side of belt, functional elements are fixed by a fastener which from inner side of the belt passes through the cam belt and the functional elements via at least one through hole.

A support roller or drive roller for a drive belt of a conveyor, having a hub which is supported by use of ball bearings and which is provided with an elastic polymer layer on its outer periphery as a running surface for the drive belt. The roller is easily manufactured as the hub is made up of a hollow cylindrical outer hub which bears the polymer layer, and a hollow cylindrical inner hub which accommodates the ball bearings. Further, the inner hub is pushed into the outer hub and joined to the outer hub in a rotationally fixed manner.
