A fluid ejection system may include a media transport assembly and a printhead assembly having a fluid ejection device opposite the media transport assembly. The fluid ejection device may include a drop ejecting element and a fluid ejection chamber containing the drop ejection element. The fluid ejection chamber has an inlet and an outlet for fluid circulation through the fluid ejection chamber across the drop ejecting element. A particle tolerant architecture is between the inlet and the drop ejecting element.

Fluid ejection device

A device including a microfluidic channel structure formed on a substrate and including a first channel and a fluid actuator within the microfluidic channel structure. A sense region within the first channel is to receive a fluid flow of target biologic particles for counting in a single file pattern, with the sense region having a volume on a same order of magnitude as a volume of a single one of the target biologic particles.

Microfluidic sensing

An apparatus may include a first microfluidic valve coupled between a first reservoir and a fluid channel. The first microfluidic valve may include a fluid agitator to break a meniscus formed at an air-fluid interface and release fluid from the first reservoir into the fluid channel in response to an electrical signal. The apparatus may also include a second microfluidic valve coupled between a second reservoir and the fluid channel. Fluid from the first reservoir and fluid from the second reservoir mix in the fluid channel.

Microfluidic network

A device includes a microfluidic channel structure on a substrate with a first fluid actuator and a second fluid actuator within the microfluidic channel structure. One of the fluid actuators is selectively employable to at least partially reverse fluid flow within at least a portion of the microfluidic channel structure in response to a blockage or to prevent a blockage.

Microfluidic flow control

A fluid ejection device includes a fluid slot, a fluid ejection chamber communicated with the fluid slot, a drop ejecting element within the fluid ejection chamber, a fluid circulation channel communicated at a first end with the fluid slot and communicated at a second end with the fluid ejection chamber, and a particle tolerant architecture within the fluid circulation channel at the second end.

In an example implementation, a method of microfluidic filtering includes activating a first fluid pump within a microfluidic channel to cause a forward flow of fluid through the microfluidic channel and through a filter of a filter loop. The filter loop intersects the microfluidic channel at a loop entry and at a loop exit. The method includes activating a second fluid pump to cause a reverse flow of fluid through the filter.

A fluid ejection device includes a fluid slot, a fluid ejection chamber communicated with the fluid slot, a drop ejecting element within the fluid ejection chamber, a fluid circulation channel communicated at a first end with the fluid slot and communicated at a second end with the fluid ejection chamber, a fluid circulating element within the fluid circulation channel, and a particle tolerant architecture within the fluid circulation channel at the second end.
