Camera mount

An image capture device with a bayonet, integrated sensor and lens assembly (ISLA), and fasteners. The bayonet includes an axis, mounting flange, fastener recesses and an inner flange. The axis extends through the bayonet. The mounting flange extends outward from the bayonet relative to the axis. Fastener recesses extending through the mounting flange. The inner flange extending inward from the bayonet towards the axis, wherein the inner flange is located between the mounting flange and the axis. The ISLA includes a forward end and internal lenses. The forward end that aligns with the inner flange to connect the ISLA to the bayonet. The internal lenses are located within the ISLA and aligned along an optical axis and the axis of the bayonet. The fasteners extend through the fastener recesses in the mounting flange to connect the bayonet to a first surface of the image capture device.

An image capture device having a housing and a heatsink. The image capture device includes an integrated sensor and lens assembly. The heatsink is located partially or completely within the housing. The heatsink includes a through which a portion of the integrated sensor and lens assembly extends, and a planar surface located adjacent to the cutout. The planar surface includes a front side and a rear side. A printed circuit board in communication with a rear side of the planar surface of the heatsink. An LCD recess located in a front side of the planar surface of the heatsink that is configured to receive a liquid crystal display, wherein the LCD recess is opposite the printed circuit board.

Heatsink of an image capture device

An electronic device includes a body, electronic components contained in the body, and two finger members. The two finger members movable relative to the body between an extended state and a collapsed state. In the extended state, the two finger members extend outward from the body for receipt by a mount of an external support. In the collapsed state, the two finger members are collapsed toward the body. In the extended state, the two finger members may extend parallel with each other for receipt in parallel slots of the mount of the external support.

A method of assembling an image capture device that includes: positioning a first sealing member between a front housing portion and a mounting structure; connecting the mounting structure to the front housing portion such that the first sealing member forms a watertight seal therebetween; positioning a second sealing member between the mounting structure and an integrated sensor-lens assembly (ISLA); orienting the second sealing member such that a locating feature extending rearwardly from the mounting structure is aligned with a notch defined by the second sealing member to facilitate proper relative orientation of the mounting structure and the second sealing member; connecting the ISLA to the mounting structure such that the locating feature is positioned within the notch and the second sealing member forms a watertight seal between the ISLA and the mounting structure; and connecting a rear housing portion to the front housing portion.

Mounting structure for an integrated sensor-lens assembly in an image capture device

An image capture device is disclosed that includes: a front housing portion; a rear housing portion including a heatsink that is connected to the front housing portion; and a printed circuit board (PCB) module that is operatively connected to the front housing portion. The PCB module includes: a front PCB assembly; a rear PCB assembly; and a connector that extends between the front PCB assembly and the rear PCB assembly. The connector includes a flexible construction that facilitates reconfiguration of the PCB module during assembly of the image capture device between a first configuration, in which the front PCB assembly and the rear PCB assembly are oriented in non-parallel relation, and a second configuration, in which the front PCB assembly and the rear PCB assembly are oriented in generally parallel relation.

An image capture device that includes a body and an interconnect mechanism that is connected to the body. The interconnect mechanism includes: a base plate defining a receptacle that is configured to threadably engage an accessory such that the image capture device is directly connectable to the accessory via the interconnect mechanism; a cover that is removably connected to the base plate and which is configured to thermally insulate the interconnect mechanism; and first and second fingers that are pivotably connected to the base plate about first and second pivot axes such that the interconnect mechanism is reconfigurable between a collapsed configuration, in which the first and second fingers are nested within the body of the image capture device, and an extended configuration, in which the first and second fingers extend outwardly from the body of the image capture device.

Reinforced image capture devices including interconnect mechanisms with a threaded accessory interface

An image capture device is described that includes a body; a mounting structure that is connected to the body; an integrated sensor-lens assembly (ISLA) that defines an optical axis and extends through the body and the mounting structure; and an accessory that is releasably connectable to the mounting structure via rotation through a range of motion less than approximately 90 degrees. The mounting structure and the accessory include corresponding angled bearing surfaces that are configured for engagement such that rotation of the accessory relative to the mounting structure creates a bearing effect that displaces the accessory along the optical axis to thereby reduce any axial force required during connection and disconnection of the accessory.

Removable lens accessories for image capture devices

A camera housing includes a first surface and a second surface noncoplanar with the first surface. A first interconnect mechanism is coupled to the first surface and rotatable between a collapsed position and an extended position. In the collapsed position, protrusions of the first interconnect mechanism extend parallel to the first surface. In the extended position, the protrusions of the first interconnect mechanism extend in a perpendicular manner away from the first surface. A second interconnect mechanism is coupled to the second surface and rotatable between a collapsed position and an extended position. In the collapsed position, protrusions of the second interconnect mechanism include coplanar surfaces and extend adjacent to the second surface. In the extended position, the protrusions of the second interconnect mechanism extend in a perpendicular manner away from the second surface.

Interconnect mechanism for image capture device

An image capture apparatus includes a heat sensitive assembly configured to support a battery. The image capture apparatus includes a heatsink spaced a distance from the heat sensitive assembly and a heat generating component that is spaced a distance from the heat sensitive assembly and the heatsink. The image capture apparatus includes a heat conductor that extends from the heat generating component to the heat sensitive assembly or the heatsink, and the heat conductor moves heat from the heat generating component to the heat sensitive assembly or the heatsink. The image capture apparatus includes an actuation mechanism that moves the heat conductor between the heat sensitive assembly and the heatsink.

Adjustable thermal solution

An image capture device includes a housing defining a receptacle having a housing electrical interface and a mechanical coupling mechanism coupled to or connected with the housing at a location of the receptacle. The image capture device includes an interchangeable lens module that releases connection with the mechanical coupling mechanism. The interchangeable lens module including a module electrical interface and an imaging sensor. A collar rotatable about the interchangeable lens module and lockable to the mechanical coupling mechanism to secure the interchangeable lens module to the housing and couple the module electrical interface to the housing electrical interface.

Interchangeable lens module

The present teachings provide an image head with a housing, an integrated sensor and lens assembly (ISLA), a port, and componentry. The housing has a front side a rear side located opposite the front side; a top side located between the front side and the rear side; and a bottom side located opposite the top side and between the front side and the rear side. The ISLA extends from the front side and is configured to detect images. The port is located on the rear side that is configured to electrically connect the image head to a base when the image head is inserted into the base. The internal componentry has a printed circuit board in communication with an integrated sensor of the ISLA and a memory located on the printed circuit board and configured to store the images. The internal componentry controls the image head.
