A compact personal transport device convertible between a riding configuration and a stowed configuration is described. In one embodiment, a latching mechanism for the compact personal transport device includes a frame post attached internally to the personal transport device and a seat post including an opening on one side. The seat post fits onto the frame post. The latching mechanism also includes a latch spring that extends outwards from one side of the frame post in an extended position and retracts inside the frame post in a retracted position. The latch spring extends through the opening in the seat post when the seat post is attached to the frame post and the latch spring is in the extended position to mechanically lock the seat post to the frame post.

Seat post and handlebar latching mechanism for personal transport device

A foldable seat assembly for a personal transport device is described. The seat assembly includes a seat having a seat surface and a seat post attached to an underside of the seat. The seat assembly also includes a latching mechanism having a pivot mechanism, a clamp located above the pivot mechanism, a latch arm attached to the pivot mechanism at a pivot end of the latch arm, a hooked catch disposed at a catch end of the latch arm opposite the pivot end, and a catch receiver associated with the underside of the seat. The catch receiver engages with the hooked catch of the latch arm. When the clamp is in a locked position, the hooked catch exerts a downward clamping force on the catch receiver to secure the seat in a riding configuration so that the seat surface has a horizontal orientation.

A cargo cover assembly for covering a cargo space of a vehicle includes a cover having a pair of longitudinal sides adapted to extend along a longitudinal direction of the vehicle and a pair of lateral side adapted to extend in a lateral direction of the vehicle. The cover assembly also includes a pair of rod assemblies coupled to the pair of longitudinal sides of the cover and configured to be removably coupled to a vehicle body. The pair of rod assemblies is configured to extend along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle when engaged with the vehicle body.

A floor mat including an elastomeric mat and an emblem with a base and a shell. The base has a portion supporting the shell and a peripheral flange portion surrounding the supporting portion and forming a hidden portion within the floor mat and having apertures. The shell overlays the supporting portion and forms a visible portion of the emblem on only one side of the floor mat. A mounting device for a smart device is adapted for removable connection to a headrest of a vehicle seat. The mounting device includes a first clamp including a first opening adapted for sliding receipt of a first headrest post of the headrest, and a second clamp separate from the first clamp and including a second opening adapted for sliding receipt of a second headrest post of the headrest. An adjustment mechanism operably connects the first clamp and the second clamp. The adjustment mechanism includes a cam latch aligned along a lateral distance separating the first clamp from the second clamp. The cam latch has a released position allowing for selective adjustment of the lateral distance between the first clamp from the second clamp and an engaged position for fixing the lateral distance between the first clamp and the second clamp.

A grille for a motor vehicle includes a base extending around a perimeter of the grille, a light guide received in the base extending around the perimeter of the grille, a light source for illuminating the light guide when activated, and a lens covering the base and the light guide. A light blocker may mask an interior of the lens except at a portion where light from the light guide is to pass when the light guide is illuminated. A film covers an exterior of the lens and has a predetermined surface appearance when the light guide is not illuminated and allows light to pass through the film upon illumination of the light guide.

A roof rack assembly includes a cross bar and a tail that is securable to the cross bar. Optionally, the tail has a hardness that is less than a hardness of the cross bar. Optionally, an engagement member is secured to one of the cross bar and the tail and is engageable with the other of the cross bar and the tail to secure the tail to the cross bar.

Some embodiments are directed to a fastener assembly for attaching a cargo liner to a male fastener of a vehicle. The fastener assembly can include a cap defining a substantially cylindrical center portion configured to receive the male fastener therein, and a plurality of tabs each spaced from the cylindrical center portion. The fastener assembly can also include a ring-shaped retainer defining an opening with a plurality of protrusions that each define a ledge configured to receive a corresponding one of the tabs.
