Devices and systems useful in concurrently receiving and transmitting Wi-Fi signals and Bluetooth signals in the same frequency band are provided. By way of example, an electronic device includes a transceiver configured to transmit data and to receive data over channels of a first wireless network and a second wireless network concurrently. The transceiver includes a plurality of filters configured to allow the transceiver to transmit the data and to receive the data in the same frequency band by reducing interference between signals of the first wireless network and the second wireless network.

Multi-radio filtering front-end circuitry for transceiver systems

An input device, such as a stylus, can include a main body comprising a main body connector for connecting to a charger to charge a power source of the stylus. A separate functional end module is removable from the main body to expose the main body connector. The functional end module includes a functional component and a module connector that communicates with the main body via the main body connector. Various different functional end modules can be interchangeable to provide a variety of distinct features to the stylus.

Multipurpose stylus with exchangeable modules

Apparatus and methods for performing simultaneous time division duplex (TDD) communications are disclosed. A wireless communication device can be configured to establish both a first TDD communication link and a second TDD communication link with a network, such as a telecommunication network. Thereafter, the wireless communication device can send TDD uplink data to the network via the first TDD communication link, and receive TDD downlink data from the network via the second TDD communication link, such that a portion of the TDD uplink data is sent to the network at the same time a portion of the TDD downlink data is received from the network. In this manner, the transmissions of TDD uplink data and the TDD downlink data can occur simultaneously, via multiple communication links. Further, the TDD downlink data can be received in multiple, coordinated data transmissions using Long Term Evolution (LTE) multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) antenna diversity.

Simultaneous operation of multiple time division duplex links using a single transceiver

A method for operating a first radio of a number of radios within a radio frequency system may include sending a first command to the first radio of the plurality of radios to initiate an antenna sector level sweep and determining a first set of metrics associated with a first set of signals from other radios of the plurality of radios that correspond to the antenna sector level sweep. The method may also include receiving a second set of metrics associated with the first set of signals from a responder electronic device and identifying a sector of a number of sectors associated with the antenna sector level sweep based on the first set of metrics and the second set of metrics. The method may then involve sending a second command to the first radio to transmit data to the responder device via the identified sector.

Antenna array uplink sector level sweep to allow coexistence with other in-device radios

A device and method selects an antenna configuration. The method performed at a user equipment includes determining at least one communication functionality that is being used, each communication functionality configured to utilize at least one antenna in a multi-antenna arrangement of the user equipment. The method includes receiving a first indication of whether a cellular communication functionality is being used, the cellular communication functionality configured to utilize at least one antenna in the multi-antenna arrangement. The method includes receiving a second indication of whether a coexistence condition is present. The method includes determining an antenna configuration for the multi-antenna arrangement to be used by the determined communication functionality based upon the determined communication functionality, the first indication, and the second indication. The method includes configuring the multi-antenna arrangement for the determined communication functionality based upon the antenna configuration.

Device and method for antenna synchronization and selection

Systems, methods, and devices are provided for performing an antenna sector level sweep of a radio in a radio frequency system with co-existence of other radios. The method may involve sending a first command to a portion of a plurality of radios to determine a first set of signal quality metrics associated with the portion of the plurality of radios for one or more sectors of an antenna while the first radio is not active. The method may involve determining a second set of signal quality metrics associated with using the portion of the plurality of radios when the first radio is active via one or more sectors of a sector level sweep. The method also include generating a table that includes the second set of signal quality metrics and storing the table that indicates a portion of the sectors to avoid when the first radio performs a subsequent sweep.

Antenna array uplink sector selection and deselection based on coexistence with other in-device radios

This disclosure relates to performing antenna selection to reduce interference in a wireless device. According to some embodiments, it may be determined whether simultaneous communication according to first and second wireless communication technologies causes performance degradation to a third wireless communication technology. If the simultaneous communication according to first and second wireless communication technologies does cause performance degradation to the third wireless communication technology, selection of antenna(s) used for the communications may be based at least in part on the determination that the simultaneous communication according to the first and second wireless communication technologies causes performance degradation to the third wireless communication technology.
