An assembly may be provided that may include a valve body having a piston within a piston bore in the valve body, the piston bore including a valve chamber section and a brake pipe section such that a pressure differential between the valve chamber section and the brake pipe section moves the piston within the piston bore. The assembly may also include a slide valve seat coupled to the valve body. The slide valve seat may include a brake pipe port, an additional discharge channel pilot valve port, and at least one exhaust port, and a slide valve coupled to the piston and configured to move along the slide valve seat with the piston. The slide valve may be configured to move between at least a piloting position and an exhaust position to vary an exhaust rate of the brake pipe section and an exhaust rate of the valve chamber section during braking.

Brake control valve assembly

A brake cylinder for a railway vehicle includes a body, a piston assembly including a piston member and a rod having a threaded surface, and a parking brake locking mechanism including a working nut, a locking gear, and a locking pawl, with the working nut having a threaded surface engaged with the threaded surface of the rod. The piston member has a first position and a second position in a direction extending from the second end of the body toward the first end of the body. The working nut is fixed relative to the locking gear. The locking pawl has an unlocked position spaced from the locking gear and a locked position engaged with the locking gear. The piston is restricted from moving from the second position to the first position when the locking pawl is in the locked position.

Brake cylinder with parking brake mechanism

An adjustment arrangement for an empty/load valve includes a body defining a channel, an adjustment beam slidably retained within the channel, and an adjustment handle connected to the adjustment beam. The adjustment handle may be configured to move between at least two positions. The adjustment handle may be configured to move the adjustment beam to at least two positions. The adjustment handle may be connected to the adjustment beam via a pin that extends through the adjustment handle and into the adjustment beam. The adjustment beam may include a protrusion that extends from the adjustment beam to act as a contact point.
