A hydraulic radial piston device includes a housing, a pintle having a pintle shaft, a rotor mounted on the pintle shaft and defining a plurality of cylinders, and a plurality of pistons displaceable in the cylinders. The radial piston device further includes a piston ring that provides an interface for the pistons. The radial piston device includes various configurations for improving the performance and efficiency of the device.

An electric motor driven pump assembly configuration that includes an electric motor, a hydraulic pump driven by the electric motor is provided. The hydraulic pump is driven by the electric motor to convert electrical power into hydraulic power. A multi-inlet hydraulic pump enhances cooling flow through a pump case of the assembly and also enhances cooling flow for cooling the electric motor and corresponding drive/control components.

The present disclosure relates to isolation and reconfiguration schemes, architectures and methods for use in aircraft hydraulic systems. The main hydraulic system of each hydraulic section of the aircraft hydraulic system can be isolated from one or more consumers in the event of a leak without the use pressure from the backup system. Further, in some embodiments, the main hydraulic system of each hydraulic section of the aircraft hydraulic system can be isolated from one or more consumers in the event of a leak without the use pressure from the backup system and the main system.
