A curvature adaption mechanism to be incorporated with a capo () for use with a guitar includes a cam surface () and associated cam follower surface () located behind a string contact surface (). A curvature of the guitar fingerboard and strings can be adopted by the string contact surface () by virtue of cams engaging and providing a feedback force (D).

Capo

A capo () suitable for a twelve string guitar, where string pairs of different gauges are used. The capo () includes a clamp arm () with a contact surface () for contacting the strings that includes a plurality of inclined portions () relative to a lateral extent of the clamp arm (). The nature of the inclined portions () is such that adjacent strings (1to 6) of different gauges can be contacted with relatively even pressure upon the fingerboard ().

A capo for use with a stringed instrument that includes a first armconfigured to, in use, extend laterally across a finger board and strings. A second arm is configured to, in use, abut against the back of a neck of the instrument to, in cooperation with the first arm, provide a clamping force over the strings. The first arm includes an adjustable tensioning means, e.g. a truss rodor band, acting in a lengthwise direction, such that a contacting face can adapt to the curvature of the finger board. Adjustment is effected by a knobor like device which tensions the truss rod or cable.

An inhaler is disclosed. The inhaler has a housing to receive an elongate strip of blisters each containing a dose of medicament and being sequentially movable into alignment with means for breaching a blister to enable a user to inhale said dose contained therein. The device has a spiral wound element within the housing that receives and coils said strip of blisters that have been breached.

A dispenser () includes a container () for the storage of a liquid, a gas cartridge receiving portion () for holding a gas cartridge () so that the contents of the container may be pressurized by gas in a gas cartridge, a dispensing arrangement for dispensing the liquid as a spray. The dispenser includes an activator () for moving a gas cartridge so that the gas cartridge is in position to pressurize the container, and an inhibitor () which inhibits movement of the dispensing arrangement. The activator is associated with the inhibitor so that movement of the inhibitor from the first to second inhibitor positions causes the activator to move the gas cartridge so that the gas cartridge is in position to pressurize the container.

A capo () for use with a stringed instrument comprises a top arm (), lower arm () and a lever arm (). The top arm () is adapted to extend across a fingerboard of the instrument above the strings (), and a side arm is connected and extending at an angle to the top arm and arranged to extend generally laterally of the neck () of the instrument. The lower arm () has one end pivotally attached to the side arm () at a lower arm pivot () and is adapted to abut against the back of the neck of the instrument when in a closed position. The lever arm has one end pivotally attached to the side arm () at a pivot () spaced from the lower arm pivot (). The capo further includes an adjuster mechanism () that extends and projects an adjustable amount from the lever arm () and has an end tip () which bears against the lower arm ().

A capo for use with a stringed instrument having a plurality of strings a neck comprising a fingerboard and a back comprises a string-engaging arm, a clamping arm, and a pivotal connection to pivotally interconnect a string-engaging arm and clamping arm. The string-engaging arm adapted to in use extend across the fingerboard above the strings and in use press against the strings. The clamping arm is adapted to, in use, extend across engage the back of the neck. The pivotal connection is disposed, in generally towards one side of the neck and at a position behind the fingerboard inboard of a side edge of the fingerboard. This arrangement and location of the pivotal connection reduces the forces required in use to operate the capo.

Spring capo

An adjustable mounting assembly for mounting a neck to a body of a stringed instrument. The assembly comprises a first mounting to mount to the neck of the stringed instrument, a second mounting to mount to the body of the stringed instrument, and an adjuster mechanism interconnecting the first and second mountings and adapted to adjust and fix, in use, the relative position of the first and second mountings. The adjuster mechanism comprises a screw threaded member having a first threaded portion that is engaged in a corresponding threaded boss of the first mounting, and a second oppositely threaded portion that is engaged in a corresponding threaded boss of the second mounting.
