A device for ocular diagnostics may include one or more light sources configured to illuminate an anterior segment of a patient's eye, a diffuser positioned to receive light remitted from the anterior segment of the patient's eye, and configured to provide a pattern based on the light remitted, and an image sensor configured to obtain one or more images of the pattern to enable determination of one or more properties of the patient's eye.

Computational lightfield ophthalmoscope

A device may receive a coherent energy illuminated image, of a particular object, that includes laser speckle. The device may process, using a laser speckle reduction model, the coherent energy illuminated image to generate a laser speckle-reduced image. The device may provide the laser speckle-reduced image as output to permit diagnostics based on the laser speckle-reduced image.

Deep learning based image enhancement

Fluorescent imaging systems for performing an endoscopic procedure, such as a retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) procedure may include a first light source for emitting light in the visible spectrum, or light in the near infrared (NIR) spectrum, or both. A light source bandpass filter may block the emitted light in the visible spectrum, or in the NIR spectrum, or both. A first sensor may be capable of detecting the light in the visible spectrum, or the light in the NIR spectrum, or both. A sensor bandpass filter may block the detected light in the visible spectrum, or in the NIR spectrum, or both. The first or a second light source, or the first or a second sensor, or combinations thereof, may be removably disposed on a duodenoscope.

Attachment for duodenoscope

An embodiment in accordance with the present invention provides a handheld cryoprobe for use in percutaneous cryotherapy of tumorous masses. It includes a probe attached to a COgas dispensing backend. The probe has specifically optimized parameters designed for use with COgas and is made out of a partially hollowed and threaded aluminum rod providing maximum heat exchange. The system backend regulates flow of compressed COgas while throttling and cooling the gas coolant to the cytotoxically low temperatures necessary for targeted tumor cell death. Additionally, the incoming initial stream of COgas is throttled by the Joule-Thomson nozzle on the backend. The low temperature exhaust gas is then used to pre-cool all subsequent incoming gas, resulting in an even lower temperature at the probe tip, which provides a positive feedback loop, continually decreasing the gas's temperature. The temperature drop is caused by the Joule-Thomson effect.

Techniques for label-free determination of a value of at least one blood property are presented. The techniques may utilize a device that includes an optical objective including at least one lens, at least a first light source situated so as to provide light to a body part at a location that is off-center from a central axis of the objective, at least a first electronic detector situated to receive light gathered by the optical objective and generate image data, at least one electronic processor communicatively coupled to the first electronic detector, the at least one electronic processor configured to determine the value of the at least one blood property based at least in part on the image data, and an output interface communicatively coupled to the at least one electronic processor and configured to provide the value of the at least one blood property.

Offset illumination capillaroscope

The present disclosure relates generally to fluorescent imaging devices, systems, and methods for an endoscopic procedure, and in particular, indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence. In some embodiments, a device for fluorescent imaging during an endoscopic procedure may include an attachment connectable to a distal end of an endoscope. The attachment may include a first filter alignable with a light source of the endoscope, and a second filter alignable with an imaging device of the endoscope. The first filter may be positionable such that in a first position the first filter is aligned with the light source, and in a second position the first filter is out of alignment with the light source. The second filter may be positionable such that in a first position the second filter is aligned with the imaging device, and in a second position the second filter is out of alignment with the imaging device.

Fluorophore imaging devices, systems, and methods for an endoscopic procedure

An aspect of the present disclosure is to provide a device or needle placement system including a needle having a proximal end and a distal end, and an ultrasound transducer element attached to the distal end of the needle. The system also includes a needle constraining assembly configured to receive and constrain the needle to only rotational degrees of freedom within a range of angular motion. The system further includes a needle sensor system incorporated into the constraining assembly to sense an angular orientation of the needle with the range of angular motion. The system also includes an ultrasound data processor configured to communicate with the transducer element to receive ultrasound detection signals and communicate with the needle sensor system to receive needle angular orientation signals. Based on the ultrasound detection and the needle angular orientation signals, the ultrasound data processor can calculate synthetic aperture ultrasound images.

System for generating synthetic aperture ultrasound images during needle placement

An apparatus, and corresponding method, for determining a refractive property of an eye includes a housing with a port configured to receive an eye and also light from the eye. A tunable lens can be mounted to the housing to apply a variable focal power to the light from the eye and to pass the light along an optical path toward a wavefront sensor within the housing. The wavefront sensor can receive the light via the optical path and measure a wavefront thereof. A determination module can be configured to determine a property of the eye based on the wavefront. Embodiments can be handheld, portable, and open view, while providing objective wavefront aberrometry, subjective phoroptry, and accommodation and presbyoptic evaluation, as well as lensometry functions.

Tunable-lens-based refractive examination

Eye prescriptions may be determined by providing a simple, easy to use, portable device with a specially configured targeting light source that aligns the eye, mitigates accommodation, and provides accurate results. Unlike stationary, closed view autorefractors, this device typically is portable, self-usable, relatively inexpensive, enabling more widespread use across the world.
