A bedliner is adapted for insertion in the cargo box of a trailer or utility hauling vehicle. The bedliner is formed of plastic and includes a plurality of sets of right- and left-hand, axially aligned notches elevated above a floor of the bedliner with each set being adapted for receiving opposite end portions of an axle of a greensmower so as the support the greensmower such that a rear roller and bedknife thereof is elevated above the floor while a front roller is resting on the floor. Wheel wells are formed in the bedliner outboard of the support platforms for receiving transport wheels that have been removed from the axle of a greensmower being transported.

Bedliner specially configured for retaining greensmower(s)

A mechanism for mounting an axle to a vehicle, and including a power output shaft drivingly coupled with a generally cylindrical coupler which is drivingly coupled with a first sleeve. A first axle is coupled for rotation with the first sleeve, and a first ground engaging wheel is coupled for rotation with the first axle and is thereby operatively driven by the output shaft. A first axle housing rotatably supporting the first axle is generally rigidly and releasably fixed to the frame of the vehicle. A first sprocket is fixed for rotation with the first sleeve, and a chain operatively extends between the first sprocket and a second sprocket which is fixed for rotation with a second sleeve. The second sleeve is operatively coupled with a second axle rotatably supported by a second axle housing, and therefore a second ground engaging wheel is driven with the first ground engaging wheel. An adjustable tensioning mechanism includes a bolt and nut for shifting the second axle housing with respect to the first axle housing to thereby adjust the tension in the chain.

Axle mounting mechanism

A box latch and prop rod is provided for a tiltable cargo box of a utility vehicle. The single rod is fixedly mounted on the vehicle, and slidably movable between a first position where it supports the box in its tilted orientation, and a second position where it locks the box to the vehicle frame for transport or operation. The rod includes a biasing mounting that urges its latching structure towards engagement with a compatible latching structure carried on the vehicle.

Box latch and prop rod

Front end loader mounting structure including a rear support assembly for receiving pivot tubes located at the lower ends of the rear upright mast posts. A round cross tube connecting the forward ends of the mast arms is rotatable upwardly through an arc-shaped path with center of radius of the path located on the axis of the pivot tubes. The cross tube is received within an inverted cradle assembly located directly in the path and is releasably locked in a raised mounted position within the cradle assembly by latching structure remotely actuated from the tractor cab. The mast posts include downwardly extending projections which are freely received by the support assembly when the loader is in the stored position but which rotate against a locking block to secure the posts tightly to the tractor frame as the mast arms approach the upwardly rotated position.

Loader mounting system

A front end loader including rear support with complementary wedge and block structure to automatically secure the mast rigidly to the tractor during mounting. A parking stand serves as a forward latching lever when the loader is mounted and additionally functions as a tractor grille guard and structural member to tie the mast arms together.

A torsion bar disk gang mounting assembly includes a shaft pivotally suspended from a disk frame. A rectangular tube receives a portion of the shaft. A pair of disk gang support arms are pivotally coupled to the shaft and extend generally rearwardly therefrom. The arms are fixed to opposite ends of the tube and support a disk gang at their distal ends. A torsion bar is resiliently coupled between the tube and the shaft to bias the disk gang downwardly. A method of making such a disk gang mounting assembly includes the steps of assembling the shaft, tube and torsion bar, then fixing the arms to ends of the tube. The shaft is then pivoted with respect to the tube and arms to establish a predetermined preload in the torsion bar. A stop arm is then fixed to the shaft in engagement with an abutment on one of the arms to maintain the preload in the torsion bar and to limit downward movement of the disk gang. Coupling holes are then drilled in the ends of the shaft with a certain orientation with respect to the arms so that consecutive shafts may be coupled together with coupling collars.

Tool mount assembly method

A depth control system for a disk tiller or similar groundworking implement having a gang of tillage tools adjustably supported from a main frame. A trailing support arm is rigidly connected to the gang and pivotally carries a gauge wheel spring-biased into engagement with the tilled soil. As the depth of the tools varies with changing conditions, the support arm moves and the gauge wheel pivots with respect to the arm to rotate a first lever. The first lever is operably connected to a second lever by a pair of pretensioned springs. Movement of the second lever moves a switch activating arm which activates one of a pair of microswitches. The microswitches control solenoid valves to operate a depth control cylinder for the gang and maintain the desired depth of cut. The switch activating arm is dampened by a dashpot which, together with the springs, prevents switch activation during short periods of oscillation.
