A system may include a processor to receive vehicle data from a vehicle system at a first location and communicate the data to a second location. The processor may integrate the data into a database of diagnostic data at the second location and identify a diagnostic code that indicates an expected operation of the vehicle system or an unexpected operation. The processor may determine a maintenance operation based on the diagnostic code. A method may include receiving vehicle data from a vehicle system at a first location and communicating the vehicle data to a second location. The method may include integrating the vehicle data into a database of first diagnostic data and identifying a diagnostic code that indicates whether the vehicle data represents an expected operation of the vehicle system or an unexpected operation of the vehicle system. The method may include determining a maintenance operation based on the code.

Systems and methods for evaluating repair of assets

A resonant sensor probe assembly includes a substrate formed from one or more dielectric materials and free-standing electrodes coupled with the substrate. The free-standing electrodes are configured to be placed into the fluid and to generate an electric field between the free-standing electrodes. A controller measures an impedance response of the sensor to the fluid between the electrodes to determine an aging effect of the sensor.

Systems and methods of the invention relate to identifying a repair facility for a vehicle and scheduling a repair for the vehicle while minimizing a downtime of the vehicle. Embodiments of the invention include receiving a route of a vehicle and a repair via a request for a repair. Based on the request for a repair, an evaluation component can identify a repair facility that can handle or perform the repair defined as well as be within proximity of the vehicle. A repair component can assign a repair facility to the vehicle based on a capability of performing or handling the repair, a geographic distance from the vehicle, or an inventory of parts for the repair.

The method further allows calculating a degree of similarity between the new case and respective cases stored in the database. A list of neighboring cases is determined relative to the new case based on the calculated degree of similarity between the new case and the respective cases stored in the database. The list of neighboring cases is processed to determine a ranking for possible corrective actions for the new case. A corrective action is selected for the new case based on the ranking of the possible corrective actions for the new case.

A method and apparatus for determining the root cause of no trouble found events in a machine is disclosed. The actual faults occurring during a predetermined time interval prior to the no trouble found event are analyzed and correlated with the no trouble found events in an effort to identify those actual faults that have a high correlation with each no trouble found event. If a high correlation is not found, then the no trouble found event is analyzed off-line to determine the root cause.

An analysis scheduler for scheduling the automatic processing of performance data through a plurality of analysis tools is disclosed. Performance data provided to some of the tools by the analysis scheduler may be specified to be within a predetermined (but variable) look-back period. The analysis tools identify faults and anomalous conditions and also create repair recommendations, and automatically create problem cases when conditions warrant, or update existing problem cases with additional data, all under control of the analysis scheduler. Method and system for processing fault log data from a machine comprising a plurality of respective pieces of equipment are provided. Operational parameter data indicative of operational and/or environmental conditions for the respective pieces of equipment is further processed. The method allows collecting fault log data comprising a plurality of faults from any malfunctioning piece of equipment. The method further allows collecting operational parameter data relatable to each respective time of occurrence of the plurality of faults from the malfunctioning equipment. Respective identifying actions allow identifying a plurality of distinct faults in the fault log data and a plurality of data buckets indicative of respective levels of quantization of each operational parameter. At least one distinct fault cluster is generated from the plurality of distinct faults. Each generated fault cluster is related a respective quantization level of at least one operational parameter to provide at least one fault cluster that may be configurable in at least one of the following cluster configurations: a stand-alone fault cluster configuration and a cluster configuration enhanced with quantized operational parameter data. A plurality of weighted repair and distinct fault cluster combinations enhanceable with quantized operational parameter data is generated. At least one repair for the at least one fault cluster enhanceable with quantized operational parameter data is generated using the plurality of weighted repair and distinct fault cluster combinations enhanceable with quantized operational parameter data.
