A network access point enclosure is configured to house a splice tray that is configured to pivot to provide increased access to opposite sides of the splice tray during assembly. The enclosure includes a base, a cover configured to be sealingly coupled with the base to form a housing, and a splice tray configured to be pivotally coupled with the base. The splice tray is configured to be pivoted between a first orientation relative to the base and a second orientation relative to the base. The splice tray is configured to form a larger angle relative to the base in the first orientation than in the second orientation, and the splice tray is configured to provide increased access to a front side of the splice tray and a rear side of the splice tray in the first orientation than in the second orientation.

Network access point (NAP) enclosure

Systems and methods of dispensing telecommunications cable from a network component are provided. A system includes a housing, an axle, and a spool. The housing defines an interior region and includes a cable storage portion and a mounting surface defining a receptacle. The axle is configured to removably attach to the receptacle. The spool is configured to be disposed on the axle, and has a first flange proximal to the mounting surface and a removable second flange distal to the mounting surface when the spool is disposed on the axle. The spool has a drum portion configured to support a coiled fiber optic cable and dispense the fiber optic cable as the spool rotates on the axle. Undispensed cable can be removed from the spool with the second flange removed. The cable storage portion of the housing is configured to receive the undispensed coil.

Examples of optical splitter systems, methods and modules enable the stacking and interconnecting of one or more optical splitter modules. One example of a splitter module has a housing and one or more connection members for connecting to adjacent instances of like splitter modules. The housing includes a plurality of cable ports providing access to an optical splitter storage area. Each connection member includes a tab and a slot, the tab configured to slidingly engage with the slot of an adjacent connection member. Sliding engagement of adjacent instances of splitter modules can form a stack of splitter modules along a stacking axis. In some cases a splitter module includes a latching mechanism to removably engage an adjacent splitter module. The latching mechanism can restrict sliding engagement and thus decoupling of the adjacent splitter modules.

Stackable splitters

A modular stackable enclosure system is disclosed herein. The system includes a base structure including a cavity that includes a component mounting surface. The base structure also includes a plurality of modular ports configured to provide openings to the cavity. The base structure also includes a plurality of accessory mount interfaces, configured to receive a plurality of corresponding toolless-attachable accessory mounts. The system also includes a plurality of port plates, each configured to fit into a port of the plurality of modular ports. The system also includes a plurality of port plate attachments, each configured to fit into a corresponding port plate. The system also includes a cover, configurable to attach to the base structure, such that the cover is movable to cover or expose the cavity.

Modular stackable enclosure system

A jack has a housing with terminals extending from opposite sides of a terminal support. Toggles coupled to the housing include passages for receiving cable wires. Closing the toggles engages the terminals and terminates wires inserted in the passages without using a special punch down tool. Viewing apertures in the toggles are connected to the wire passages and let a person see whether wires are fully inserted into the toggles for proper connection to the terminals. In some cases the toggles are pivotally coupled to the housing and adjacent the opposite sides of the terminal support, and insertion ends of the toggles face away from the jack plug opening. The jack can have a modular configuration or an integral mounting plate. A method for terminating wires includes inserting untwisted wire ends into the toggles and pivoting the toggles to intersect the wire ends with electrical terminals.

Toolless communications jack

A device that replaces the traditional 66 block device has improved pair-to-pair wire isolation to facilitate the transmission of both POTS and xDSL signals. The device includes a non-conductive lower member and a non-conductive upper member that retain a plurality of pairs of electrically conductive stampings therebetween. Each of the pairs of stampings is positioned to be in electric contact with each other such that a signal can be transmitted from one stamping to the other stamping. The stampings are utilized to electrically connect external telecommunication wires to internal telecommunications wires. Each toggle of a plurality of toggles is independently and pivotally connected to the upper member and includes a through bore for accepting an end of a wire that is accessible to an installer when the toggle is in an open, un-terminated position. Each of the toggles are movable from the open, un-terminated position to a closed, terminated position.

Disclosed are exemplary embodiments of a drop interface box (DIB) for interfacing between an optical network service provider's heavy jacketed drop cable and optical distribution cables at a premises. The DIB provides organized drop, feed and distribution fiber cable storage and routing in a manner which does not cross different cables types when additional cables are added, and which maintains minimum bend radius of the cables and inhibits cable strain. In exemplary embodiments, a hinged fiber storage panel includes spools, cable clips and integrated cable channels that maintain cable radius during transitions of cables from a storage side or plane of the panel to a connector side or plane of the panel.
