Provided is a downhole device, a well system, and a method. The downhole device, in one aspect, includes a tubular housing, the tubular housing having a length (L) and a sidewall thickness (t) defining an inside diameter (ID) an outside diameter (OD). The downhole device, according to this aspect, further includes a control line bypass channel located in the outside diameter (OD) of the sidewall thickness (t) and extending along an entirety of the length (L). The downhole device according to this aspect further includes a radial retention mechanism extending across the control line bypass channel, the radial retention mechanism configured to radially fix a control line within the control line bypass channel, and an axial retention mechanism positioned in the control line bypass channel, the axial retention mechanism configured to frictionally and axially fix the control line within the control line bypass channel.

This disclosure provides a downhole debris removal apparatus, a method for operating a downhole debris removal apparatus, and a well system including the same. The downhole debris removal apparatus, in one aspect, includes an inner pipe positioned within a tubular, and a filtration member substantially encircling the inner pipe. The downhole debris removal apparatus, in this aspect, further includes a cleaning assembly positioned radially about at least a portion of the filtration member, the cleaning assembly configured to move relative to the filtration member to dislodge particulate matter from the filtration member.

A device can include a collar positioned in a wellbore that can include an outer wall. The outer wall can define an inner area of the collar and can prevent fluid flow between the inner area of the collar and an outer area of the collar during a hydraulic fracturing process. The collar can be removed or dissolved to form a flow path to allow production fluid to flow between the inner area of the collar and the outer area of the collar subsequent to the hydraulic fracturing process.

A method of variably restricting flow in a subterranean well can include resisting flow through a flow path, and then selectively opening a pressure barrier which previously prevented flow through another flow path. The flow paths are configured for parallel flow. A flow restrictor system for use with a subterranean well can include at least two flow paths configured for parallel flow, a flow restrictor which resists flow through one flow path, and a pressure barrier which prevents flow through another flow path. The pressure barrier is selectively openable to permit flow through the second flow path.

A well screen for use in a subterranean well can include a loose filter media, a sandstone, a square weave mesh material, a foam, and/or a nonmetal mesh material. A method of installing a well screen in a subterranean well can include dispersing a material in a filter media of the well screen, after the well screen has been installed in the well, thereby permitting a fluid to flow through the filter media. A method of constructing a well screen can include positioning a loose filter media in an annular space between a base pipe and a shroud, so that the filter media filters fluid which flows through a wall of the base pipe.

Certain aspects and embodiments of the present invention are directed an inflow control device tube that can be disposed in a wellbore through a fluid-producing formation. The inflow control device tube can include a body, such as a tubular body, and an inlet portion at a first end of the body. The inlet portion can be integrally formed with the body. The inlet portion can be adapted to provide a fluid bypass for a fluid flowing from the inlet portion to an outlet portion at a second end of the body. The fluid bypass can be shaped to allow fluid to bypass one or more objects causing a blockage at an opening of the inlet portion.

A flow regulating system can include multiple flow restrictors, at least one of which selectively restricts flow between an interior of a tubular string and an external annulus, a plug which prevents flow through a respective one of the flow restrictors, the plug being aligned substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the flow restrictor. A method of variably restricting fluid flow in a well can include installing one or more plugs in selected one(s) of multiple openings in a housing, each installed plug preventing fluid flow through a respective flow restrictor, and externally accessing the openings, without removing any cover. An externally adjustable inflow control device can include a housing having multiple openings, multiple flow restrictors, a plug in selected one(s) of the openings, each plug preventing fluid flow through a respective flow restrictor, and each plug being externally accessible, without removal of any cover.

A system which attaches at least one line to a tubular string can include at least one clip pivotably secured on one side of a recess. At least one structure is positioned on an opposite side of the recess. Rotation of the clip into engagement with the structure secures the line in the recess. A method of attaching at least one line to a tubular string can include securing the line to a support on the tubular string as the tubular string is being conveyed into a wellbore. The securing step further includes rotating at least one clip into engagement with at least one structure, thereby preventing removal of the line from a recess formed in the support.

A sand control screen assembly having control line capture capability is operable for use in a subterranean wellbore. The sand control screen assembly includes a base pipe having a screen jacket positioned therearound for preventing the flow of particulate material of a predetermined size therethrough and allowing the flow of production fluids therethrough. The sand control screen assembly also includes a control line capture assembly. The control line capture assembly includes an axially extending flange that couples to the screen jacket and is operable to protect the control line during installation and operation of the sand control screen in the wellbore. The control line capture assembly also includes an axially extending spring channel that couples to the flange. The channel is operable to receive and retain the control line during installation and operation of the sand control screen in the wellbore.
