An antenna module and a base station system are disclosed. The antenna module may transmit an electromagnetic wave of a specific frequency band. The base station system includes: a signal tower, a first antenna module, and a second antenna module. The first antenna module and the second antenna module are separately fixed at the signal tower, and share a same antenna installation platform on the signal tower; a distance between a center point of the first antenna module and the signal tower is less than a distance between a center point of the second antenna module and the signal tower. The solutions can enable the base station system to implement multi-band coverage. The first and second antenna modules in the system can operate independently without affecting each other, and can be mounted and disassembled separately.

Antenna module and base station system

This application provides a downlink transmitting system and a switching method. An example downlink transmitting system includes at least one digital intermediate frequency module group, at least one Tx port group, a plurality of power amplifiers (PAs), at least one switching switch, and an antenna array. The plurality of PAs are connected to the antenna array. The plurality of PAs are connected to all Tx ports included in the downlink transmitting system in a one-to-one correspondence. The at least one digital intermediate frequency module group is in a one-to-one correspondence with the at least one Tx port group. Each of the at least one Tx port group is connected to each digital intermediate frequency module in a corresponding digital intermediate frequency module group through one of the at least one switching switch. The each of the at least one Tx port group includes a plurality of Tx ports.

Downlink transmitting system and switching method

This application discloses an antenna apparatus, including an antenna array and an adjustable phase shifter. In each row of antenna elements in the antenna array, antenna elements on a same radio frequency RF channel are spaced by M antenna elements, where M is used to determine a quantity of beams in a first beam group and a quantity of beams in a second beam group, and M is an integer greater than 1. When the adjustable phase shifter is at a first angle, the first beam group is obtained; or when the adjustable phase shifter is at a second angle, the second beam group is obtained. This application discloses a beam adjustment method. In this application, a plurality of beams can be formed in a horizontal direction, and the beams are grouped by using an adjustable phase shifter, thereby effectively improving beam adjustment flexibility.

Antenna apparatus and beam adjustment method

An antenna system and a signal transmission method are provided. The antenna system includes: an antenna array and a matching network, where an S parameter matrix of the matching network matches an S parameter matrix of the antenna array and the matching network is configured to perform pre-distortion on a to-be-transmitted signal or de-distortion on a received signal, and the antenna array is configured to transmit the pre-distorted to-be-transmitted signal. According to the antenna system and the signal transmission method provided in this application, pre-distortion may be performed on a signal that needs to be transmitted by the antenna array or de-distortion may be performed on a signal received by the antenna array, so as to configure energy that is coupled from each antenna array element to an adjacent antenna array element, thereby reducing a coupling effect between antenna array elements.

Antenna system and signal transmission method

According to a communication method and a base station that are provided in embodiments of the present invention, the base station transmits a broad beam that covers a sector of the base station and narrow beams whose coverage areas completely fall within a coverage area of the broad beam, which implements that under a premise that a coverage area of the sector of the base station maintains unchanged by using the broad beam, enhanced coverage of the sector is further achieved by using the narrow beams, thereby improving spectral efficiency. In the solutions, a sector coverage area of the broad beam transmitted by the base station still maintains unchanged, and therefore, a coverage relationship between sectors is not affected. In addition, neither an additional site backhaul resource nor additional standardization support is required in the solutions.

Communication method and apparatus

A base station includes multiple edge nodes and a central node. The edge nodes are configured to perform communication with a user equipment, and execute baseband processing and mutual conversion between baseband data and radio data, in which the multiple edge nodes belong to one or more edge node groups, and each edge node group includes at least one edge node. The central node is configured to perform communication with the multiple edge nodes, manage the multiple edge nodes, and perform resource sharing so that resources are shared by the multiple edge nodes. The base station is divided into two levels of architecture, namely, a central node and an edge node, and the central node implements resource sharing so that resources are shared by the edge nodes, so that a resource sharing degree in the base station is enhanced.

The method includes: performing precoding weighting on M CSI-RSs of each of N sub-cycles, where each sub-cycle is a quantity of measurement pilot subframes for bearing and transmitting the M CSI-RSs; sending the M weighted CSI-RSs to UE; receiving M PMIs and M CQIs that are sent by the UE and that correspond to the M CSI-RSs, where the M PMIs and the M CQIs are obtained by the UE by separately measuring the M weighted CSI-RSs based on a set a rankprecoding codebooks corresponding to the predetermined antenna quantity; obtaining M signal-to-noise ratios of a downlink channel of the UE according to the M CQIs; obtaining M equivalent codebooks according to the M PMIs and weights of the precoding weighting; and obtaining a covariance matrix according to the M signal-to-noise ratios and the M equivalent codebooks.

Method and apparatus for obtaining downlink channel information and network side device

An apparatus and a method for multi-user scheduling in a MIMO system are disclosed. In an embodiment the method includes, receiving, by a base station, PMIs and CQIs of first codewords and second codewords, where the PMIs and the CQIs are fed back by N UEs; grouping UEs whose PMIs are the same into one pairing group to divide the N UEs into M pairing groups; and determining a user pairing combination of each pairing group according to a CQI of a first codeword of each UE in the pairing group and a CQI of a second codeword of each UE in the pairing group. The method further includes determining an optimal user pairing combination from M user pairing combinations. The base station schedules two UEs in the optimal user pairing combination simultaneously.

Method for multi-user scheduling in MIMO system, and apparatus

A method includes: a transmit end transmits at least two mixed pilot signals to a receive end separately by using at least two physical antennas. The at least two mixed pilot signals are separately obtained after preset pilot signals corresponding to logical antennas in the at least two logical antennas are weighted by using a precoding weight matrix.
