A phase digitizing system includes an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), multiple phase accumulators and a processing device. The ADC generates sample segments of digital signal waveform samples based on an analog composite input signal received in a measurement channel, the composite input signal includes a first signal having a first frequency F1 and a second signal imported from a reference channel having a second frequency F2. The processing device is coupled to the phase accumulators, and digitally processes each sample segment with outputs of the phase accumulators, and continually generates digital phase data The processing device further provides increment values to each of the phase accumulators based on the digital phase data, causing an output of a first phase accumulator to represent an instantaneous phase of the first signal, and an output of a second phase accumulator to represent an instantaneous phase of the second signal.

Techniques are provided for selecting one of a plurality of clock signals used to drive a bus of a WLAN-enabled device having a WLAN radio module coupled to the bus and designed to operate over a plurality of WLAN channels. A network infrastructure device, such as an access point or port, is provided that comprises a WLAN radio module, a PCI bus coupled to the WLAN radio module, a look up table (LUT) and a processor. The WLAN radio module designed to operate over a plurality of WLAN channels in a first frequency band. The LUT comprises a plurality of entries. Each entry comprises: a particular one of the WLAN channels and a corresponding one of a first clock signal having a first clock frequency and a second clock signal having a second clock frequency that is to be selected. The first clock signal causes interference at the WLAN radio module when operating over a first subset of the WLAN channels, and the second clock signal causes interference at the WLAN radio module when operating over a second subset of the WLAN channels. The processor selects, from the LUT based on the one of the WLAN channels that has been selected for the WLAN radio module to communicate over, either the first clock signal or the second clock signal that is to be used to drive the bus.

A method and system for connecting a user identification module to a wireless host device are described. The user identification module is inserted in an accessory card that fits in the host device, and includes a radio transreceiver to connect to a wireless network. When the accessory card is placed in the host device, a mating surface of the host device blocks removal of the user identification module from the accessory card. The accessory card may be connected to the host device by inserting in a slot of the host device an edge of the accessory card from which extends an interface.

The wireless personal mobile message unit has power-saving features built into the signal format. This personal mobile message unit accommodates many communication applications due to the high bandwidth and the low latency achieved in the cellular data network. Low-power operation and wide coverage is achieved using existing one-way paging infrastructure. The wireless personal mobile unit can be achieved inexpensively by modifying a conventional one-way pager.
