The HVAC system includes a compressor configured to drive refrigerant flow and an inverter configured to control a speed of the compressor. The HVAC system includes a first sensor configured to measure a temperature of the inverter and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to obtain, from the first sensor, the temperature of the inverter. The electronic control unit is configured to determine a range of speeds for the compressor based on the obtained temperature of the inverter. The electronic control unit is configured to operate the compressor within the determined range of speeds.

The electronic control unit is configured to determine the airflow rate based on the obtained blower map and an expected temperature. The electronic control unit is configured to control the airflow rate to adjust an air temperature within the cabin of the vehicle to reach the expected temperature therefore increasing the fuel efficiency.
