A credentials verification network utilizes blockchain technology to track/verify credentials for candidates that can later be used in the hiring verification process. As implemented by nodes of a distributed network, a candidate receives from a first network node a secure credential generated by a credentialing source from an original credential document. The first node processes the secure credential according to a security feature (e.g., hash function) to create a transaction, and assigns an identifier to the transaction. The first node signs the transaction with a private key to create a transaction signature. The first node sends the signed transaction to a central server that broadcasts the transaction to the blockchain network. Once the network has accepted the transaction, the candidate will be notified and handed over the raw text document and transaction receipt ID. The candidate can forward the information to a recruiter or potential employer running a second node.

Various examples are directed to systems and methods for managing a grid computing system. A grid computing management system may be in communication with a grid consumer device and in communication with a plurality of user devices. The grid computing management system may receive, via a computer network and from the grid consumer device, first task description data describing a first task to be performed using the plurality of user devices. The grid computing management system may identify a plurality of task units for executing the first task using the task description data and generate a plurality of task unit modules including a first task unit module that, when executed by a first user device of the plurality of user devices, causes the first user device to execute a first task unit of the plurality of task units. The grid computing management system may receive a ready message from the first user device and send the first task unit module to the first user device.

Systems, methods, and apparatuses for activity pattern detection are described herein. Embodiments may process large amounts of data from a plurality of different database sources in order to detect events common to the data of the different database sources. Embodiments further perform data mining operations to detect patterns (e.g., two or more events appearing consecutively or non-consecutively), and present these patterns in a graphical user interface (GUI) to illustrate how a plurality of patterns may comprise a business scenario.
