A ground mounting system for supporting solar photovoltaic panels on a planar or inclined having an array of soil fasteners in spaced-relation driven through a geomembrane overlying a greenfield ground site and connected with a respective one of a plurality adapting regulating apparatus to racks to which solar photovoltaic panels mount securely, which soil fasteners communicate compressive loads to the ground while resisting tension forces from wind uplift on the planar field of solar photovoltaic panels.

Anchoring structure for ground mounting of solar photovoltaic system

A mounting systemfor a solar panelincludes a base platehaving an elongated mounting slot, a spacer beamwith a slot, a first T-shaped fastenerhaving a mounting platewith a width slightly smaller than the size of the slot and a length larger than the size of the slot, so that the mounting plate may be passed through the slot and then rotated so that it then cannot pass back through the slot. A second T-shaped fastenerhaving the same configuration couples the solar panel to the spacer. The system optionally has a ballast systemwhich includes a ballast trayand third T-shaped fastenerof the same configuration for coupling the tray to the base plate. An anti-creep stripis coupled to the base member through fourth T-shaped fastenersof the same configuration.

The present invention discloses a ground mounting system, particularly for mounting solar photovoltaic panels on a planar or inclined surface or a surface that is partly planar and partly inclined The disclosed invention is a system that comprised of an array of soil nails, inserted in the ground; a plurality of adapting apparatus, each on top of each the nails; and a resulting structure supports racks, made of metal or plastic, or other structural profiles designed to enable mounting photovoltaic panels on it, wherein the racks are installed on the array of nail using the adapting apparatus.

A nutis threadably coupled to the mounting postto force the contact ledge downwardly against the peripheral margin of the solar panel, thus locking the position of the solar panel. The mounting system includes a weld harness or weld harness stripand anti-creep stripswhich are coupled to the base member.
