The invention relates to a control chamber, the pressure of which determines the strokes or positions of a nozzle needle, and which is assigned to a force or pressure sensor in order to detect the progression of the control chamber pressure. Because the control chamber pressure significantly changes during the closing of the nozzle needle, the operating phases of the injector can be exactly determined from the sensor data and supplied to an engine controller.

Fuel injector

The invention relates to an injection device, in particular for injecting fluid into an exhaust tract of an internal combustion engine, having a valve unit which comprises a valve needle, an injection chamber having at least one injection opening, and a control chamber, wherein the injection device is designed so that a pressure differential between the injection chamber and the control chamber brings about a displacement of the valve needle between an open position in which the valve needle releases a fluid flow through the injection opening, and a closed position in which the valve needle closes off the injection opening. The injection device also has a pump unit integrated in the injection device. The pump unit is designed so as to draw in fluid from the fluid inlet during operation and to provide said fluid to the valve unit under increased pressure.

Injection device

A method for operating a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine is described. The fuel injection system has an injector for metering fuel into a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine. The injector has an actuator, a control valve and a nozzle needle. In the method, the actuator is supplied a voltage and/or a current during an activation period. The control valve is set into a lifting motion by the actuator. The injector is opened and closed by the nozzle needle, using the lifting motion of the control valve. A further time period is ascertained. The further time period ends at the closing time of the nozzle needle. A function is ascertained, which links the activation period to the further time period. A shortest activation period, for which the nozzle needle opens and produces an injection, is ascertained with the aid of the function. An opening delay period (d) of the nozzle needle is ascertained as a function of the shortest time period.

Method for operating a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine

The invention relates to a device for the regeneration, temperature loading and/or thermal management of a component, which is assigned to an exhaust gas system, of an internal combustion engine preferably of a vehicle, having at least one injection valve, which operates preferably in a chatter mode as a function of the pressure of supplied fuel, for injecting fuel for the purpose of regeneration, temperature loading and/or thermal management into the exhaust system of the internal combustion engine. The invention is distinguished by at least one pressure control valve which is arranged upstream of the injection valve and dampens or eliminates pressure fluctuations. The invention also relates to a corresponding method.

A magnet valve is installed by a method in which the fully machined valve member is locked in a receptacle of a fixed installation device. A magnet plate and a spacer plate are mounted on a receiving mandrel. The magnet plate, spacer plate and valve member are pressed against the receptacle, then the magnet plate and the spacer plate are displaced relative to the valve member, and the armature is secured to the receiving mandrel of the valve member in such a way that the armature then rests on the magnet plate.

Valve for controlling a connection in a high-pressure fuel injection apparatus for an internal combustion engine

The invention relates to a control module for fluid control in injection systems, having a valve body () in which valve needles () of control valves () are received. With these control valves (), the pressure buildup or pressure relief of control chambers () or nozzle chambers of injectors can be varied. The control valves () in the valve body () are electromagnetically actuatable, and magnet coils are received in recesses () of insert elements () or in recesses () in the valve body itself.

A fuel injector for fuel injection systems in internal combustion engines. The injector includes a housing in which valves arranged in series are accommodated. One of the valves is actuated by an actuator assigned to the injector. Each of the valves is assigned a controllable control space, each having one inlet. The valves are designed as inwardly opening valves. One of the valves, which may be actuated by the actuator, acts by way of a spring package upon the other of the valves, which is under prestress by a first spring element.
