A high-energy-content fuel composition, for controlled-ignition internal combustion engines, contains quadricyclane (tetracyclo-[2.2.1.0-(2,6).0-3,5]-heptane), for which a new synthesis method is proposed. The use of the quadricyclane-containing fuel composition makes it possible a larger amount of energy to be available per each fuel volume unit, and favorably modifies the combustion kinetics in controlled-ignition internal combustion engines.

A solid stabilizer composition for synthetic polymers is formed by a solid, continuous phase and by a solid dispersed phase in said continuous phase, wherein the continuous phase is constituted by amorphous 2,2'-oxamido-bis[ethyl-3-(3,5-di-tert.-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)-propionate] and the dispersed phase is constituted by an amorphous, or crystalline, or partially amorphous and partially crystalline organic phosphite, with the weight ratio of said continuous phase to said dispersed phase being comprised within the range of from 9:1 to 1:9. The process for preparing said solid composition and its use in the stabilization of synthetic polymers are disclosed.

A solid stabilizer composition for organic polymers is formed by a solid, continuous phase and by a dispersed phase in said continuous phase, wherein the continuous phase is constituted by amorphous tetrakis-[3-(3,5-di-tert.-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)-propionyloxymethyl]-metha ne and the dispersed phase is constituted by an either amorphous or crystalline organic phosphite, in the form of particles with a particle size of from 10 .mu.m to 2 mm, with the weight ratio of said continuous phase to said dispersed phase being comprised within the range of from 9:1 to 1:9. The processes for preparing said solid stabilizer composition and its use in the stabilization of organic polymers are disclosed.

A fuel composition with a high energy content, for direct-ignition internal combustion engines contains a gasoline from petroleum and an amount of up to 90% by volume, as referred to the same fuel composition, of hydrocarbon 'cubane' or of its alkyl-derivatives, to be defined by means of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R' and R' represent, independently from each other, a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical containing from 1 to 3 carbon atoms.

C. is obtained by means of the melting of crystalline tetrakis[3-(3,5-di-tert.butyl-4-hydroxyphenul)-propionyl-oxymethyl]methane and sudden cooling of the molten material.

Solid organic phosphites in powder form, used to endow organic polymers with stability characteristics are made resistant to hydrolysis by treating said powder phosphites with a silane containing in its molecule at least two alkoxy groups and causing the silane to hydrolyze, and the formation and deposition of a siliconic polymer on the surface of powder particles to occur.
