Provided are novel crosslinkers and curable compositions including such crosslinkers. Bonded constructions including the disclosed curable compositions display high adhesion, elongation, and impact resistance even if the bonded substrate receives no surface treatment prior to bonding. Provided are elastomeric products including the curable compositions, methods of making the same, and uses thereof.

The composition includes an acrylic monomer having a carboxylic acid group, an acrylic monomer having a hydroxyl group, and a compound composed of divalent segments L and at least two X groups. The divalent segments L are represented by the formula Each divalent segment L is respectively directly bonded to two secondary N atoms, two tertiary N atoms, or a secondary and a tertiary N atom. Each Rrepresents an alkylene group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and at least some of the Rgroups are &#x2014;CH&#x2014;CH&#x2014;CH&#x2014;CH&#x2014;. Each X group is independently represented by the formula CH&#x2550;C(R)&#x2014;C(O)&#x2014;O&#x2014;V-W&#x2014;C(O)&#x2014;. Electronic articles such as, for example, electroluminescent lamps useful for displays and method of making the same are provided. The electronic articles include a substrate, a conductive element adjacent to the substrate, a high dielectric composite adjacent to the conductive element and an electrically-active layer adjacent to at least a portion of the high dielectric composite. The high dielectric composite includes a polymeric binder and from 1 to 80 volume percent of filler retained in the binder. The filler comprises particles that include an electrically-conducting layer and an insulating layer substantially surrounding the electrically-conducting layer. In some embodiments the binder includes a pressure-sensitive adhesive and the composite has adhesive properties.

The invention provides novel macromonomer and carboxyl functional polyurethanes having a high carboxyl content.
