Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally the described techniques provide for establishing, by a first speaker a control communication link with a second speaker over a first piconet, receiving a signal during an extended synchronous connection-oriented (eSCO) window between a wireless device and the second speaker (e.g., one of a null signal, an acknowledgement (ACK) signal, or a negative acknowledgement (NACK) signal) switching from the second piconet to the first piconet based on the received communication, communicating with the second speaker on the first piconet, and closing the eSCO window based at least in part on the communication.

Power and bandwidth efficient true wireless stereo speakers

A data processing device including a processor and a memory interface, the processor being configured to control the refreshing of a memory by the steps of: periodically forming an estimate of a current rate of decay of a memory and updating an accumulated level of decay of the memory in dependence on the estimated current rate of decay; and causing the memory interface to refresh the memory when the accumulated level of decay exceeds a predetermined threshold. The estimate may be based on a measurement of ambient temperature.

Memory boosting

Systems and methods to enable a new host device to wirelessly connect to a peripheral device without having to execute a secure pairing process. The method includes storing encryption and connection information for the peripheral device along with information identifying the peripheral device at a server. The new host device is then provided with the information identifying the peripheral device. The new host then uses the information identifying the peripheral device to obtain the encryption and connection information from the server. The new host can then use the encryption and connection information to connect and communicate with the peripheral device. The methods and systems described herein may be used, for example, to loan a peripheral device to the new host device, or to transfer the peripheral device to the new host device.
