A boat hull includes a serrated keel which is utilized to dissipate local energy and increase efficiency by reducing drag. In one embodiment, the boat hull preferably includes serrations which are teardrop shaped with a ratio of 3 to 1 in that the length of the teardrop cutout is 3 times the depth.

A degasser system may comprise a mass flow controller device and a sample pump coupled to a sample degasser for controlling the dilution of gases extracted from drilling fluid in the sample degasser by a dilution fluid, such as nitrogen gas. The mass flow controller may inject the dilution fluid into the tank of the sample degasser to dilute the gases extracted from the drilling fluid. The dilution fluid may be aspirated or sparged into the sample degasser. The sample pump may extract a sample of the gases separated from the drilling fluid by the sample degasser. The rate of injection of the dilution fluid into the sample degasser and the rate of extraction of the gas sample from the drilling fluid may be adjustable to control the dilution of the gas sample for analysis.

Various embodiments relate to methods, apparatus, and systems for injecting and detecting compositions in drilling fluid systems. In various embodiments, the present invention provides a method of injecting and detecting a composition in a drilling fluid system. The method can include injecting the composition into the drilling fluid system. The drilling fluid system can include a gas detector. The method can also include detecting the composition with the gas detector.

Methods, apparatus, and systems for injecting and detecting compositions in drilling fluid systems

A gas extraction system for gas analysis is provided. The gas extraction system includes the use of a peristaltic pump for moving condensates to a liquid trap assembly. An improved fluid flow is thus provided, which includes delivering condensate from a condensate separator to a peristaltic pump and delivering the condensate from the peristaltic pump to a liquid trap assembly.

Degasser assemblies, systems and methods, including an air-driven degasser assembly that includes a degasser having a drive shaft with a seal that inhibits intrusion of ambient air and an air motor having a motor shaft that drives the drive shaft. The motor shaft is distinct from or integral to the drive shaft, and the air motor is positioned to direct air leakage around the motor shaft away from the seal.

A system for sampling drilling fluid to identify one or more species of interest within the drilling fluid includes a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger has a first fluid passage and a second fluid passage. Each fluid passage has an inlet and an outlet. In addition, the system includes a supply line coupled to the inlet of the first fluid passage. Further, the system includes a return line coupled to the outlet of the second fluid passage. Still further, the system includes a drilling fluid heater having an inlet coupled to the outlet of the first fluid passage and an outlet. The system also includes a drilling fluid degasser having an inlet coupled to the outlet of the heater, a first outlet coupled to an analyzer configured to identify the one or more species of interest, and a second outlet coupled to the inlet of the second fluid passage.

A de-aerator dampener separator includes a separator with a vortex chamber having at least one vortex chamber entry port. The de-aerator dampener separator further includes a column assembly with a column entry port in fluid communication with the vortex chamber exit port. The de-aerator dampener separator further includes a baffle within the column assembly.
