Completion methodology for unconventional well applications using multiple entry sleeves and biodegradable diverting agents

Methods disclosed improve the cluster efficiency during stimulation treatment, such as fracturing treatments. The methods incorporate any combination of the following: slurry rate ramp, proppant ramp and hold, and constant apparent viscosity during the stimulation treatment.

Proppant ramp-up for cluster efficiency

A method for well completion employs a combined plugging and perforating operation for creating multiple spaced-apart clusters of perforations and optional stimulation treatments in stages. For each stage to be completed, a frac plug, carried, for example, along a wireline bottom hole assembly with perforating guns, is set in the wellbore distal (toward the toe end of the well) of the most proximal perforation cluster of the previous stage, thereby maintaining open hole conditions that provide adequate flow past the most distal perforation clusters in the current stage and minimizing proppant accumulation in the wellbore from stimulation operations. The method further allows subsequent pump down of tools and equipment even with the plug set in the wellbore.

Method of well completion

A method of servicing a wellbore within a subterranean formation comprising providing a first wellbore tubular positioned within a second wellbore tubular creating a tubular flowpath and an annular flowpath, wherein the tubular flowpath and the annular flowpath converge in a mixing zone within the wellbore, placing an annular fluid through the annular flowpath, placing a tubular fluid through the tubular flowpath, and contacting the annular fluid and the tubular fluid in the mixing zone to form a composite fluid, wherein the composite fluid comprises a base fluid component, a proppant component, a crosslinkable polymer component, a crosslinking agent component, and an optional buffering agent component and wherein the components of the composite fluid are apportioned between the annular fluid and the tubular fluid such that reaction of the components to form the composite fluid is inhibited until the components of the composite fluid mix within the mixing zone.

Wellbore servicing fluids and methods of making and using same

In at least some embodiments, a system for pump down operations includes a wireline unit and a pump unit. The system also includes a controller coupled to the wireline unit and the pump unit. The controller is to automate at least one control function selected from the group consisting of: a pump rate for the pump unit based on at least one of a monitored wireline speed and a monitored wireline tension for the wireline unit; and a wireline speed for the wireline unit based on at least a monitored pump rate for the pump unit.

Automated controls for pump down operations

A vascular closure device includes a main body and an expandable portion that can be selectively expanded and contracted. The vascular closure device may be used to close the hole in a wall of a vessel after a medical procedure. For example, the vascular closure device may be used to close the hole in an artery after a medical procedure that required access to the artery. In one embodiment, the expandable portion may be oriented at an oblique angle relative to the main body. This may be desirable in situations where the vessel puncture is oriented at an angle relative to the vessel. Orienting the expandable portion at an oblique angle relative to the main body may help the expandable portion to cover the hole in the wall of the vessel.

A method for performing a downhole perforating and fracturing operation from a wellbore () positioned within a subterranean formation (). The method includes locating a perforating gun string () within the wellbore (), detonating a first perforating gun () to create a first discrete fracture initiation site () in the formation (), repositioning the perforating gun string () within the wellbore () and detonating a second perforating gun () to create a second discrete fracture initiation site () in the formation (). Thereafter, the method also includes pumping a fracture fluid into the wellbore () and propagating a single dominant planar fracture () from each of the discrete fracture initiation sites ().
