A learning health system and associated methods are provided. Biochemical assays are conducted at scheduled intervals on blood samples taken from an individual to provide, for each of a plurality of biochemical parameters, a time series of values representing the individual. Clinical parameters associated with the individual are extracted from a knowledge base. Genomic parameters are determined for the individual. An expected time series is calculated for each of a plural subset of the plurality of biochemical parameters from at least the clinical parameters and the genomic parameters. For each of the plural subset of biochemical parameters, the time series of values representing the individual is compared to the calculated expected time series to determine a likelihood of each of a plurality of conditions for the individual. The likelihood of at least one of the plurality of conditions is communicated to a user.

Secure network systems and methods are provided. In an aspect of the invention, a secure network system is provided that includes a computing system that comprises a client system and a specialized NIC (network interface controller) system equipped with the capability to form a secure connection with an endpoint system and encrypt and decrypt communications between the client system and the network to which it is connected. This trusted network interface (TNI), which may present itself as a physical peripheral connected to a physical client system or a virtual peripheral connected to a virtual client system, takes the place of a client system's standard NIC, and the connection that it forms with the trusted network is negotiated and enforced externally to and independent of the client system.

Secure network systems and methods

Systems and methods are provided for routing voice communications to groups in a voice communication system using a voice hub system. The voice hub system allows a user to group communication devices into one or more logical networks and/or unit task organizations. The user can then select one or more of the communications groupings to transmit and receive voice communications. A user can change the communication grouping selections automatically changing the communication group that the voice hub system is transmitting and receiving voice messages.

Voice hub processing

Systems and methods are provided for routing voice communications to groups in a voice communication system. The voice communication system can be a mobile communication system having a plurality of members grouped as logical networks and/or unit task organizations. One or more routers are provided in the system. The one or more routers extract routing information from received voice messages. The routing information is used with a router database to determine which identified group to route the digitized voice packets. The one or more routers can be adapted to receive and route voice communications to different radio types across different logical networks.

A gesture recognition simulation system and method is provided. In one embodiment, a gesture recognition simulation system includes a three-dimensional display system that displays a three-dimensional image of at least one simulated object having at least one functional component. A gesture recognition interface system is configured to receive an input gesture associated with a sensorless input object from a user. The gesture recognition simulation system further comprises a simulation application controller configured to match a given input gesture with a predefined action associated with the at least one functional component. The simulation application controller could invoke the three dimensional display system to display a simulated action on at least a portion of the at least one simulated object associated an input gesture and a predefined action match.

Self-powered mobile electrical power hubs are provided. In one embodiment, a self-powered electrical power hub comprises an internal combustion engine driven generator that provides electrical power and at least one electrically powered transport driver configured to facilitate movement of the self-powered mobile electrical power hub. The self-powered mobile electrical power hub further comprises an accessible power hub that provides external access to electrical power, wherein a substantial portion of the electrical power from the internal combustion engine driven generator is provided to power the at least one electrically powered transport driver in a transport mode and a substantial portion of the electrical power from the internal combustion engine driven generator is available at the accessible power hub in an idle mode.

Systems and methods are provided for graphically representing uncertainty in an assisted decision-making application. A database contains a class vector for each of a plurality of objects of interest. A given class vector includes a plurality of possible classes for its associated object of interest and a corresponding set of confidence values. The database also contains a set of assumptions associated with each confidence value. A user interface displays a plurality of graphics representing the objects of interest. A given graphic includes a set of at least two class icons, each corresponding to one of the plurality of classes associated with its corresponding object of interest. The graphic also includes a qualitative indication of the confidence values associated with the set of classes. The assumptions associated with a given confidence value are retrievable by a user by selecting the class icon associated with the confidence value.

System and method for graphically representing uncertainty in an assisted decision-making system

Systems and methods are provided for identifying one or more targets of interest, and scheduling the tracking of at least one such target of interest employing one or more remote sensing/tracking systems. A target finder finds, describes, and provides a report concerning targets of potential interest. A target selector selects at least one target of interest from a plurality of identified targets. A plurality of remote sensing/tracking systems are operative to track the at least one target of interest. A tracking control system schedules at least one of the remote sensing/tracking systems to track the at least one target of interest based on at least one tracking parameter.

A software integration architecture is disclosed. The architecture includes software modules operative to spontaneously integrate distributed components/systems into new integrated systems via dynamic integration connectors, with minimal or no changes to the existing software components/systems/databases. The architecture employs integration rule sets that define access and communication rules associated with a respective software component, and a negotiation engine that negotiates with the integration connectors to define data and/or control connectivity based on the integration rule sets.

A system, method and computer program that administers access and security on a network having more than one computer system connected thereto. This system, method and computer program has a local password file () which is one-way encrypted and contains user identifications, associated one-way encrypted passwords and associated privileges for each authorized user allowed access to the wide area network (). A user login module () is used to receive a user identification or role and password from a user and login the user when a match is found in the local password file (). A channel monitoring and filtering module () is provided to monitor and receive broadcast or multicast messages within the wide area network () and display the message to the user when the user's associated privileges permit the viewing of the message. This system, method and computer program also has a password management module () to update and insure that all the computers in the network contain the same local password file (). A remote auditing module () is provided to monitor and process anomalous events which may occur on a user's computer. A remote control module is also provided to enable a systems administrator or security officer to take appropriate action when a critical event transpires. An authentication module is also provided to enable a system administrator or security officer an option to check and confirm a password entered by a user for re-authentication.

System and method for distributed network acess and control enabling high availability, security and survivability

Methods and systems are presented for controlling power cycling in a global positioning system (GPS) assembly. The assembly comprises a power management component that operates to switch a GPS receiver between at least a first mode, in which the receiver is actively receiving almanac and positioning data, and a second mode, in which the receiver does not actively receive data according to a power cycling routine of the receiver. A memory stores a plurality of quanta of almanac data as associated memory blocks, each memory block having an associated status indicating the length of time for which the associated almanac data is expected to be useful. A signal processing component processes a received signal containing at least a portion of a quantum of almanac data and identifies the quantum of almanac data within the received signal. A receiver control adjusts the power cycling routine of the GPS receiver according to the associated status of a memory block associated with the identified quantum of almanac data.

Power cycling for a global positioning system

Systems and methods are provided for routing voice communications through a mobile communication system having a self-contained infrastructure, such as a two-way radio communication system. The voice communications are transmitted as digitized voice packets over radio frequency links. The digitized voice packets contain one or more destination addresses in addition to other routing information. Routers receive the digitized voice packet and extract the routing information. The routing information is used in conjunction with a member router database to determine where to route the digitized voice packets.

Secure network-routed voice processing

Systems and methods are provided for locating a transmission signal from a radio transmission emitter device, such as a cell phone, in a rescue area. A pilot signal is employed to lock onto a transmission signal of one or more radio transmission devices located in a rescue area. A signal separation routine extracts desired transmission signals from emitter devices located in the rescue area from other signals coexisting on similar frequency bands and interfering with the desired transmission signals. An estimated location of transmission signals from emitter devices located in the rescue area is determined based on one or more transmission signal location techniques. The area is searched based on the estimated location of the transmission signal. If the emitter transmitting the transmission signal is not found, devices in the system are moved and the location estimation is repeated.

Systems and methods are disclosed for establishing and utilizing a mobile communication system having a mobile communication coverage area. The mobile communication system includes a plurality of mobile communication devices or units and a mobile base. The mobile base establishes a communication coverage area and provides mobility with respect to the coverage area. Communications between the plurality of mobile communication devices are transmitted to the mobile base, and retransmitted or re-broadcast from the mobile base to the destination mobile communication units.
